so after reading the codex i saw that the daemons of khorne had 6+ armour saves after thinking i finally figured why
because against grav weapons they can be wounded unlike the rest of the codex which are grav gun immune
is that why or is there another reason
anyother pointless rules out there

Grav guns have a special saying that they always wound on a 6, regardless of weather or not you have an armour save.

Bloodletters have a 6+ save because;
a) like all Daemons, they have the exact same profile in BOTH 40k & Fantasy.
b) in Fantasy, you can stack armour saves on top of ward saves. (Fantasy's version of an invuln save) Thus, in that other game, 'Letters can attempt to make their 6+ save, and any who fail then get to try and make their 5++ save.

GW developers always claim to follow a "background before rules" approach.

Whatever causes the save, it is in the background of the unit.

In this case, the model is wearing a basic armour, so 6+. So if there is a piece of gear able to ignore invul saves, bloodletters still have a chance.

Basically they have a 6+ in case it's ever needed for whatever exotic reason, because it wouldn't make a lot of sense if they had no armour at all.

Daemons can have their Invulnerable reduced to nothing if they roll 4 on the Warp Storm table and fail a Grimoire of True Names roll.

Bloodletters would still get their 6+ Armour saves if that happened.

That does make sense as well
