I did a drop pod about a month ago

which one do you guys prefer? and how could i make them both better

The second one. but im partial to black and red

second one looks way cleaner. but at the same time unfinished

first one looks great but as Desubot said the second one looks unfinished

Second one looks ace. and do you mean better painted if so highlighting' a wash on the red so it's not as flat and some weathering

I was gonna put some iconography on the black one, im making a green one the same, but how can i make the block/colour weathered?

I'd add silver to the red/black one. The turbine on top, especially, but there are other details you should paint silver or gray as well(basically a third color). And I'd highlight the black and red both a bit.

silver sounds cool, i didnt wanna do the whole thing silver like the first one, but i could highlight it i guess

i wanted to get it painted simple, effective, and then get it on the tabletop you know

First one looks better from a technical standpoint, second one looks cooler and more brutal. Black and red is quite cliche, but what looks good looks good.

even if it is black and red for space wolves lol
