Hi peeps!
Thought I'd share my list, since some people wondered how I fared so well with this list. My excuse is, that I just used my brain. In my eyes, nothing special in it.
HQ:
Warlord:
Farseer with Spirit Stone of Anath'lan
Farseer with bike.
Troops:
9 Jetbikes with 3 shuriken cannons
9 Jetbikes with 3 shuriken cannons
20 Guardian defenders with 2 scatter lasers
Fast:
9 Warp Spiders with Exarch, Fast shot and Spinneret Rifle
Heavy:
Wraithknight
3 Vaul's Wrath artillery, with shadow weavers.
3 War Walkers with dual scatter lasers.
Allied detachment:
Haemonculus with shattershard
5 kabalites
Venom with dual Splinter cannons
5 kabalites
Venom with dual Splinter cannons
1847 points. Really simple, but worked miraculously.
My opponents were:
1st round : Grey Knights with some space marine allies. Lost that 1-19.
2nd round: Imperial guard. 4 Leman russes with some more tanks and random infantry with plasma. Won that 20-0 with wipeout on turn 5.
3rd round: Space Wolves with Blood Angels allies. Crushing victory, but couldn't get his warlord despite cleaning everything else. 19-1 for me.
4th round: Tau farsight enclave. 3 Riptides, and this was a list I was afraid to face from the moment I saw it in the tournament. But despite heavy mental stress, I won with 4th turn wipeout. 20-0.
5th round: Orks with Imperial guard allies. The most massive army in the whole tournament. Around 200 models, and only one vehicle. But guess what? Wipeout on turn 5. 20-0 for me.
Stars of the tournament we're warp spiders(barely did get their points back though, but killed critical units.)guardians and jetbikes. Those bikes earned their points back over and over again, they killed roughly 3000 points worth of models in the whole tournament. Guardians suprised me as well, they managed to shoot down a dakkajet, tau commander with gazillion drones, leman russ(shot scatters to rear armor. Crazy, I know.), and being a generally really efficient my deployment field cleaner.
The bad apples were walkers, with even vaul's wrath managing to kill more than them.
What do you think? And yeah, my antiair was null, guide and prescience being really my only antiair options.

cool sounds like a fun time!
one thing i would recommend with the list is to change the warp spiders exarch and upgrades for another warp spider, (unless you mean that there is 9+an exarch, so 10 total)

Yeah, only 9 models, including exarch. I love the exarch though, ap1 means he's really killing with every shot he does. Also was one of the biggest killing machines due to that. But I'd really want that 10th model in there, but sadly GW sells them in 4 spiders + exarch boxes... But I see your point.

I'm surprised those War Walkers didn't do better. I admit their weapon setup isn't what I'd normally field them with as the rest of your army is already shot-heavy.....but they still should have done better. Perhaps just bad luck.

Looks very solid.
The spinneret exarch is a boss choice, don't listen to anything else, giving the unit a 18' range and 2-3 ap 1 shots not needing 6's, that hit on 2's is amazing.
I have been expierimenting with a 9 man jetbike units like yours 3 cannons, a farseer combined with, baron and a warlock, add grisly trophies to your venoms and you have a mini deathstar, with the trophies you can reroll the warlocks conceal so with baron and conceal the unit will have a 2+ cover save just by moving. Also if you get fortune on the farseer you can use the baron to tank wounds with a 2++ rerollable. Baron is very usefull because he gives the unit hit and run, a good CC punch, defensive and assault gernades, and most importantly a +1 to deciding to go first or 2nd.
Overall it would cost around 100 points which you could get from dropping a war walker and 2 warp spiders. Turning one unit of jetbikes into a much harder target to kill, and a mini cc threat, also hit and run adds to the already insane movement of the unit since you can go 3d6 on thier turn out of combat than move normally.

Certainly solid. I take it the DE are there to add venoms for crowd control? If you are ever finding your venoms near your seers, gristly trophies would be nice for the re rolled psychic tests. Otherwise, the venoms just add dakka(never a bad thing).
The hamey however seems worthless. A shattershard is close range only, and with the guardians camping back you gain nothing. No better Ld, no extra shooting, no pain token for the unit. I suppose you get night vision...if you want the hamey, why not a hexrifle? Same range as the lasers, same cost as the shard, and helps em do something. Alternatively, take the baron in the unit for mass stealth, Ld boost, defensive grenades, hit and run, and the +1 to go first.
All just small points, overall your list is solid and obviously performed well on the table.

The most important rule of 40K-Page XVII of the 6th edition rulebook, the figure at the top right of the page. "Shake hands with your opponent and thank them for a good battle and fun experience." Then go out for a beer.

Hey. Congrats on the tourney. Sounds like fun. Out of interest, what were the top two armies?

Yeah, Haemy is really there to be the compulsory hq. Shard was useless, and I figured hexrifle would've maybe done something. But no matter what gear he'd gotten, he'd still be only 2 more wounds in the guardian squad. If I'd had points, baron would've been better. Just took the shard in case someone got close, which they did, but shard never killed anyone. And I used it 3 times.

Thanks. Winner had Tau/eldar army. 2 riptides and 1 wraithknight kinda army. Don't know any specifics, but it looked very solid. Necrons came in second, with 2 flyers and 9 Spiders if I recall correctly.

War walkers bad apples? Hmm, that's quite strange. You did remember to outflank them when the situation required or start them on the table when it didnt? They never disappointed me when I deployed them correctly. Regularly they kill over three times their points cost and are a very reliable unit for me. Have been for years. I run them exactly like you, so not sure where it went wrong for you.
