An alternate build for comparison to my
drop pod list I previously submitted for feedback for a tournament this weekend.

Down to 7 pods, but the infantry count jumps up to 59 models (up from 47), 11 of which are in
TDA, and the melee potential is noticeably improved with more bodies, fists, and power axes. I feel like the larger squads are more survivable, but I lose out on target saturation with an additional unit on the drop compared to the original list.
Downsides
IMO are earlier exposure of scoring units (this requires 1/2 my troops units on the board turn 1, the other list on requires 2 units out of 6) and the dreads aren't in the picture anymore, but they aren't likely to survive long as the only threatening armor on the board. Also, at this point the
RP has to go with the
WG, losing a bit of tactical flexibility.
