I enjoy playing DOW2R (no multiplayer all offline) but when I up the difficulty I find myself having a hard time. I usually roll with Chaos (Chaos Lord) and Space Marines (Techmarine)

My Chaos strategy is to have a good bit of heretics and when the enemy attacks they will fight and will use the explosion thing to suppress enemy so if they try to run my Chaos Lord can destroy them. I will eventually get some CSM and upgrade to Tzeentch. I try to get to tier 2 fast and just use bloodcrushers as they are really OP. From here on I just keep upgrading my Lord (usually give him the lightning claws) get more CSM and then a toss up between another crusher or a tank (usually another crusher) I don't like plague marines since they always tend to miss and i also erect Khorne shrines to summon free bloodletters and increase speed.

SM Strategy : Don't really use troops early on. I will make a squad or 2 of SM but i will bunker down at a victory point with my techmarine and have him make turrets. I will usually be behnd initially but later on I have an advantage since the turrets are pretty strong and cost a lot less then a squad. I also use at least 2 assasult squads for the knockdown effect. That's basically it. I'll get more units of course like dreadnought.

I like using tyranids but i find it cheap because i can just spam hormagaunts and be fine (at least on normal diff) I would like to get decent with other races but can't seem to get a good grip on them. Eldar and IG seem to confusing (not really knowing what is good with what etc) and orks just dont seem that great imo.

I have read many different guides but none are really helping. My main problem is i feel like i dont know what order i should do things in. Like should i upgrade squads now or buy more low tier units or get a vehicle. Any advice you can give me especially regarding IG and Eldar would be great, especially why certain units are better than others. Thanks!!

Maybe Chaos Daemons are so angry all the time because despite their near infinite intelligence they can't seem to forge anything more complex than a sword, an axe, or a staff

Well here is one tip, dont rush to tier two before you got at least two CSM squads and a suffiencet number of Heretics, also worhsip is worth its weigth in gold when playing Chaos marines. Since it buffs your troops and makes your lord that much better in combat. Also I would get a dread instead of the Crusher since well, Chrusers are not that durebal or tactical adaptebal. Give him MoT and watch those enemy tanks/walkers/ transports pop. Or go MoK and and watch him rip things appart. Plauge Marines are good but mainly against tanks and such.

For SM you really need to be on the offensive from the first moment of gameplay, two squads of Tactical marines pluss one scout squad with sniper rifels are good for harrasing the enemy. Also FC is the best SM hero atm I belive, power sword, armour of alactricy(not sure if I splelly correct?) and Iron halo makes for a unpleanser mele monster. ASM is not a dedicated mele unit, and should be used with care.
As you move along to T2 & T3 flavour with what you find works the best in that given moment of time.

Tyraninds : What hero are you using? Horumgaunt spam works well against AI, but against any other form of opponent you will MURDERD! I normaly run two or three squads of Terumgaunts and a warrior squad to back up my HT when I start of in MP. I then get the armour upgrade that gives him health synpas and then move to T2. There I get a venom brood, and upgrade my Warriros to mele and gives chrusing claws to the HT before getting a unit of Genestealers.
With Tyraninnds its the same as with SM, you need to constaly hit the enemy where it hurts and make sure to keep ahead in the tech war, also protect your synaps creatures at all cost as loosing them is very, very bad.

As for Eldar well, I would rather just show it to you in game since I do not how to word the type of play needed to be good with them, I never have played IG and the same with orks
