I went down to my local gaming store and I found out that the general army size for most of the players was 1500 as well as the tournaments hosted there.

So I am trying to put together as competitive an army for my Grey Knights as I can.

Here is the core which amounts to 1005 points and I need some opinions/constructive criticism about how I should spend that extra 495 points.

-HQ-

Coteaz

-Troops-

Warband #1 - 3x Plasma Cannon Servitors (w/ Chimera)

Warband #2 - 3x Acolytes with bolters (w/Razorback and psybolts)

-Fast Attack-

Storm Raven (AC, MM)

-Heavy Support-

Nemesis Dreadknight (Heavy Incinerator, Greatsword, Teleporter)

Nemesis Dreadknight (Heavy Incinerator, Greatsword, Teleporter)




Now obviously I probably need more scoring units but how should I allocate the remaining 495 points?

Coteaz will be with the servitors most likely behind an aegis defense line or something with the chimera next to them.

If you are running pure GK i would do alot more servitor squads with plasma cannons like:

Servitors x5 in chimera copy paste because you can shoot 5 weapons out of a chimera so you don't need to worry about the servitors getting murdered first off.

the dreadknights could take the gatling psilencer if you want,
it gives them a weapon to kill daemons better and you can take out low AV with it too.

Coteaz can hang out with some monkey dudes behind the defence line cast prescience on them for some twin linked cannons (i think they are just single).

a vindicare assassin is so amaising i would always take one ( 4 D6 armour pen?? yes please!). and if he mans a icarius lascannon he always chooses targets and look out sir! can't be taken.

The storm raven doesn't have much to do so... my way of thinking is travel in pairs or get it out.

I run a very similiar list, what are you filling the chimera with?

I would instantly slap 20 warrior acolytes /w bolters in this list for 100 points. Great scoring units.

May I suggest filling the chimera /w

Lvl 1 Inquisitor rolling for prescience /w hellrifle
Monkey
3x Heavy Bolter servitor
7x Warrior acolyte's /w bolters

This gives you a fantastic TL 36'' threat and scores aswell.

To round this out I would suggest a rhino filled with psyammo strike squad's /w 2x psycannons.

Really blends with Coteaz's anti DS nicely, preventing any enemy unit in reserve from dropping anything in.
