I have a 1750 point list that is my "Inquisition" Army from the Grey Knights Codex. I used Coteaz as my Inquisitor so I could use Henchmen as troops, I wanted as little Grey Knights as possible, as this list was supposed to be my version of what an Inquisitors army/entourage might be like.

One of my squads was to be 9 Crusaders and 3 Death Cult Assassins. GW's Crusaders are nice but I didn't like the idea of using only two models to make up a nine man squad, too much repetition. So I set about designing a suitable replacement. I also wanted to stay away from the more 'cartoon' look of some of the GW models and stick with more realistic looking figures.

These Crusaders consist of... Space Marine Scouts for the legs and body, IG and Marine arms, Grey Knight falcions for power swords, except the 'leader' who has a full size power sword. I also used 3 Forgeworld Power Axes for the axe armed Crusaders. Forgeworld Boarding Shields as Storm Shields, Forgeworld helmets and Icons from the Grey Knights etched brass sprue. The cloaks are from Anvil Industries and the bases from Secret Weapon. I also found someone on ebay who sells decal sets for the various armies and used that for the icons on the cloaks and shoulder pads.

The Mandrakes in the squad are my Death Cult Assassins. Anyway, I hope you like them.

Wow, very unique. I love the color scheme, and the whole feel of the unit. It would be great if we could see some of the rest of your army.

Current Armies: Chaos Space Marines(Building), Orks(Completed), Vanilla Marines(Near Completion), Trollbloods(Completed), Axony (Building)

Loving it so far. Mandrakes for Death Cult Assassins are a nice touch. Great use of bits for a cohesive whole!

Very well thought out unit, they definately look unique. My only concern is that they look a bit too bulky to be regular humans, but otherwise they are great.

2500pts Da Blitza Boyz! (Orks) 70% painted.

They are the helmets from the Forgeworld MKIII Breacher Squad. I found someone on e-bay selling a set of ten of them.

They look fantastic, and very "grimdark 40K-esque", if that makes sense.

I would paint the pins that hold the cloak in place the same colour as the armour. Would make them look 100000x better than they already do, which are amazing

I love it. Best crusaders I've seen.

One thing: You have axes on some of these. I haven't read the Inq codex, but I'd imagine the crusaders have "power swords" like the Adepta Sororitas codex, not "power weapon" like the GK codex, so those axe weilders are not strictly speaking WYSIWYG, which is a shame on such an amazing conversion.
