Hey I've decided to start playing the game But I can't decide on whether to play skorne, who have a play style I love, Coc because those models are amazing and legion who are dragons but I love combat and ive heard they are a range g action can they do combat or not is my question ? Thanks for sny help

Plus it's fairly credible that a GW marketing campaign for their biggest release would fit on one side of A4 - Flashman

From my limited experience with Legion they are a combined arms faction. But they have some warbeasts and casters that are powerful melee hitters.

Pretty much all the factions have the ability to throw down in melee just fine. Legion just backs that up with some good shooting. The drawback to legion is that they tend to be very fragile and die easily.

Legion can bring the hurt both at range and up close. You probably won't make a list with no guns at all but there are plenty of warlocks, beasts, and units that perform very well in melee. The only problem legion has is cracking extremely high (22+) armor without committing many points to the task.

Even legion's main ranged heavy, the ravagore can produce up to six pow16 melee attacks. That isn't the best power for a heavy but the quantity of attacks can be very high for a model with such great ranged threat.

My suggestion for a beginner is to first play with the battlebox (or half of the two-player starter) enough to learn the rules. You can expand to a warlock like Absylonia and a hybrid beast like the angellius while adding support from shepherds, forsaken, (and the warspear chieftain if you got the two-player set).

Legion is good at melee, probably well placed in the middle as the best Melee. I feel I would place them slightly behind Circle in the Melee Output catergory and Circle only beats them because Gorax too sexy
