Name explains it lol… Some weird tactics but bear with me.

Primary Detachment: Necrons

Hq:

Overlord - orb -120 (runs with blob of warriors)

Court:

Veiltek - abyssal staff, veil - 60(does what he does with deathmarks with re-rollable 2+ str 8 ap1 temp)

Troops:

5 warriors in ark - 180 (supports warriors, caps late objectives if it's still alive)
15 warriors -195 (holds backfield objective and provides cover for broadsides)

Elites:

10 deathmarks - 190 (deep strikes with Dlord and veil, gets preferred enemy as well, gives nasty 2+)

Fast:

5 wraiths - 2 w/ whips -195 (tarpits dedicated CC units)

Heavy:

Annihilation Barge - 90 (does what it does)

Allied Detachment: Tau

Hq:

Shadowsun - 135 (with bodyguards as heavy anti-tank)
2 bodygaurds - target locks, fusion/plasma, 2 drones(markers? not sure since the unit will be targeting heavies and markers could help bring support on those from broadsides)

Troops:

16 kroot w/ sniper rounds - 112 (infiltrates up for objective control)

Elite:

Riptide - Ion, Ewo - 190

Heavy:

2 broadsides - hymp, sms , velocity trackers, 4 missle drones - 218 (anti-air, considering putting ewo on one instead of vt to maybe knock down flyers as they come on)

Total: 1843 is my math is correct...

Thoughts? Obvious flaws? I realize most people run Dlords with the Wraiths but I'd like to try something new that could maybe increase the Death and Despair bombs survivability and potentially get them hitting a couple of units. I feel like with the Tau and Wraiths and Blob, it could be highly effective at messing with their target priorities...

Well, it has not enough hard hitting potential. Deathmarks are one-hit wonders. Warriors are far behind in a Ghost Ark or have to hoof around the board. Six Wraiths is not enough. Whip coils are not a must-have since weapons that hurt must (power fists) are initiative 1 anyway. Where's the Riptide?

Well if I can find the points I can add a riptide. any suggestions? I realize I can drop a few warriors and maybe the wraiths, cut back on the death marks and maybe get rid of the Dlord. Hmmmm, what load out should I bring? I feel like I should dedicate podsides to ewo for all of the re-roll capabilities and give the riptide velocity tracker and stim injector? once i figure this out I will try to fit it in.

You have 445 points worth of hq units. Too much IMHO. Either d lord or overlord, not both if your taking an expensive tau hq aswell.
