FORTIFICATIONS
Aegis Defence Line-100pts
Quad Gun

NOTE: This is not designed to be a tournament list, rather against my local gaming group. Generally, it will be used against CSM (with IG allies sometimes), Daemons (typically with a number of FMCs) and BA/GK.

General tactics - Fireblade joins a static FW squad in the ADL, fireblade mounts the quad gun for some considerable AA against flyers and/or FMCs. Other static FW claims objective in/near deployment zone. Devilfish squad head upfield to claim objectives (hopefully later in the game, when there's less enemies to worry about!). Hammerheads pick off armour, or use submunition rounds to decimate light infantry. Skyray and Riptide help with clearing the skies of FMCs and Flyers. Stealth team infiltrates, ideally into at least 5+ cover to get a 2+ cover from stealth and shrouded, and generally be a nuisance.Pathfinders Mark high value targets for hammerheads, or generally improve bs of other units

The Twilight Zone

The fireblade costs as if you gave him drones, but you did not list any, so are you taking drones and if so what? Markers are OK, but you could get by with a stock fireblade. Might also want an ethereal for your line/hiding in the fish to unleash a serious storm of fire.

Shielded missile drones are not as good as they seem. If one dies, the riptide has to take a morale check and if it runs, it could easily jump off the board. The rest of the loadout is fine.

With suicide stealth teams, it is usually better to outflank. If you get rear armor, S5 dakka and the fusion can usually do the job. I assume you took a 'vre, which is OK, but not required.

Disruption pods are very good for devilfish, hammerheads and skyrays. They are not cheap, but the protection is well worth it. Smart missiles are great if you can afford them on the devilfish.

Hammerheads are generally not as good as skyrays, and if you take one you generally want longstrike. A longhead with a d-pod and submunitions will lay waste to almost any tank in the game. Without longstrike, you are almost always better off with the ion cannon. My normal heavy loadout is a long head with a d-pod and spines, then 2 skyrays with d-pods.

The most important rule of 40K-Page XVII of the 6th edition rulebook, the figure at the top right of the page. "Shake hands with your opponent and thank them for a good battle and fun experience." Then go out for a beer.

Oops, yeah, I didn't notice those omissions!

The Fireblade was supposed to also say 2 Marker Drones, and the Stealth Team was supposed to say Shas'vre not shas'ui.

I think what Ill do is replace the Shielded Missile Drones with an ethereal instead and have him join fireblade's unit, giving them 4 shots each if they remain stationary and at 15" range! Removing the marker drones on the fireblade will make enough room for 2 disruption pods on the hammerheads.
