Hey everyone,
So I have accumulated a fair bit of space marines but want to increase the number of points and variability in play style because I like to switch it up and have the players I am playing with not know exactly what I am going to take.
These are the models I currently own in my collection:
HQ
1 Librarian
1 Chapter Master/Captain
Troops
20 Tactical Marines
5 Scouts w Snipers
Elites
5 Terminators
Fast Attack
2 Land Speeders
3 Bikes
Heavy Support
1 Vindicator (converted from rhino)

So I am really not sure what I should add to my army. Maybe a dreadnought or a devastator squad maybe even another 5 terminators? Maybe a few more bikes but I have found they are pretty fragile.
Any help would be awesome!

I'd recommend some flyers or anti-air as a start. Both Stormravens and Stormtalons are nice choices, and the Hunter AA tank is certainly respectable.

In my personal opinion, Terminators aren't very useful. I'd rather take Sternguard in a drop pod for shooty or Vanguard marines in a Stormraven for choppy.

Landspeeders are always a good investment. I'd recommend a 2x multimelta loadout on them, or typhoons and a heavy bolter if you see a lot of infantry clumps.

You might consider some scouts with CCWs and putting them in a LSS, if you want to do something fun/silly.

What chapter tactics do you prefer?

There actually isn't any fliers with the people I play with so not sure about getting a flier....not that it's out of the question.
What kind of things does a storm talon bring to the table?

I am mostly asking because I haven't played marines in a while and haven't even picked up the new book yet so not sure about the chapter tactics and what is fun and good to use in the new book

I really like the 2 landspeeders I have they always do a good job!
Maybe another group of 10 Marines would be good to?

Tac marines are crap for everything but sitting on objectives. TBH they are even sub-optimal at that. Here is what I would buyif I wwere you

2 rhinos (or better, a rhino and 2 razorbacks). Foot slogging marines are dead marines.

10x sternguard veterans. The models are expensive, but IMO worth every penny in looks and in play.

Drop pod

2x bike squads. If you're against flyers bikes are the next best thing fast attack wise.

Thumderfire cannon. Probably the best horde tamer (point for point) that I can think of in the game ATM.

I'd get the new book. HQs, troops, and bikes go down in point cost and Chapter Tactics are a huge boon to an army.

Aside from that you need more bikes for the unit to be effective. Get another pack of 'em and stick some grav guns (or other special weapon of your choice, grav guns just seem to be generally accepted as the best special weapons for bikers) on the unit to give it a nice, sturdy kick. A flyer/anti-flyer unit is good, although if you don't think there will ever be flyers in your meta then I suppose it's not a problem. If you do want a flyer then the Stormtalon is a fairly solid choice: it makes for a cheap dakkabird. For ground-based anti-air I really like the Hunter and its servitor-cannon.

Looking at your collection my guess is that you're playing games in the 1k-1.5k points range, so I don't think you need any more troops right now (but if you want more then by all means get some). Your tactical squads could do with some transports, so I'd recommend rhinos (for mobility and shielding against small arms) or drop pods (for in-your-face aggression). Another wonderful option is adding a Thunderfire Cannon--these guns will blow chunks out of enemy infantry and can tear apart light vehicles, too!

Edit:

In response to the post right above mine I have to say that a 10-man sternguard squad, while rather fun (I've seen one erase a Hive Tyrant in a single hail of bolter fire), is incredibly expensive for a unit that is no more durable than a tactical squad. If you put it in a drop pod and kit it out with some combi-weapons it'll probably run close to 300pts--and evil little complications like Helldrakes can poof that all away very quickly. At 1k-1.5k I'd stick with a much smaller unit of them.

If there aren't many flyers then I wouldn't advise against upsetting your local metagame, but Stormtalons are BS5 against ground targets, which is really nice.

Ya I play 1-1.5k games your right. I actually am going to order the book tmrw with some necron stuff for a buddy.
So should I get 3 or 6 more bikes?

I think the storm talon might be a cool unit though! Does it do some decent damage?
Might pick up a razorback as well.
I have wanted a thunderfire cannon since I got space marines but could never justify the $70 tag on it
Might use this though as a replacement

I'd probably just get 3 more bikes to bring the unit up to 6 guys. Maybe make a unit of 5 and then use the 6th bike to customise a bike-mounted Chapter Master--these guys are really beast in the new book (plus, it'll let you make the biker unit scoring!).

The Stormtalon does some pretty good damage. When you swap out the heavy bolters for Skyhammer missiles the little gunship is 125pts and puts out 3 S7 missiles plus the 4 S6 rending Assault Cannon shots--it's quite good at chewing up infantry, light vehicles, and other flyers! The little bird can be a bit fragile, though, so you'll want to be careful with it.

I can't say for certain which will be the best fit for you but why not look at making an Ally detachment using a different chapter tactics that will compliment your current list? Having this option lets you work a little outside the box but with units you are still comfortable using.

Thunedrfire Cannon and Devastator Centurions with grav-cannons

They are two of pur most lethal units right now.

More troops, more bikes, and a flyer. 5 more scouts for a 10 man squad should do it, and a 5-10 man bike squad will do more for you than 3. A Stormtalon should serve as some nice flyer defence as well as transport busting. You don't really have a means of cracking open Rhinos or Chimeras either, so that Devastator squad (with missile launchers or lascannons or some mix thereof) would be good, as would a Predator.
