Well after a pretty long break I have continued my work on the spider, and I'm pleased to say it's almost done! The base still needs work and a bit of detailing is in order but I know have a product to show Dakka.

Well I tried using some of the new technical paints and I must say, they are fantastic, of course in my hands its like a monkey being given an I-phone, I can't really maximize them but practice makes perfect. After this I have a bunch of standard goblins and a shed load of spider riders to paint up (Merry Christmas to me). As always comments and critiques are welcome.

Very nice superstructure, but the blue on the spider looks somewhat flat, plastic-like. Seems to have be rich in details, but i find the colour somewhat ill chosen.

Yeah i can really see what you mean about the carapace, I'd like to blame it on the picture but with that much surface area I was having a hard time really getting that realistic look. As for the color scheme, I guess you could say I'm a bit of a spider man fan.
