So, new to Dakka Dakka. Figured I'd poke around a bit in other threads to get a general state of the community before posting. Pleasantly surprised! Seems like there are a lot of cool dudes here.

Easy link to my blog: http://lantzmini.blogspot.com" target="_new" rel="nofollow"> http://lantzmini.blogspot.com. I started it mostly as an easy way to share photos of what I've done with friends and family. I need to get around to updating it because I've finished a TON of stuff the last month or two. Christmas was basically tons and tons of painting things for friends and family because I'm poor, so whoring out one of my few talents in the world is the best way to make everyone happy.

Now to cherry pick some of my favorite things to share with you all.

My Ravenwing Command Squad gets a lot of compliments from other players in person. The are my second pride and joy in my army, the first being my power-armor command squad which is the very first post on my blog. Why am I not posting them here, you ask? I'm at work during a lull while posting rather than being at home, and for whatever reason, photobucket is blocked on our internet network here which is the service I used to host my pictures on before directly uploading them to my blog with my phone. So, please, visit that post. The banner was freehand!

You also might notice the symbol on top the Champion's guns and how that's not standard. Funny thing is, I got these guys in part of a trade. Friend had purchased some Black Knights and was planning on building some Dark Angel units to ally in with his regular marine guys, but he's running his own chapter. He scratched off anything Dark Angel related on that one bike before he realized he just didn't want to bother with Dark Angels at all anyway. So, I had to build my own thing there. I just took two of the Ravenwing symbols from the Ravenwing upgrade spruce and mashed them together. Neat!

This kit-bash was for a friend who's building, as he put it, "A loyalist Emperor's Children chapter." He just loves purple and gold. I realized the Ravenwing Champion helmet would be perfect for an EC guy so we through it on. Made me have to pose him somewhat awkwardly because the helmet is clearly not meant to go on someone with a jump pack, but it worked out. I realize there's a bit of grit looking on there. It's mostly my camera which is just my original Galaxy Nexus camera, but there was a slight bit of glue damage to the helmet so that's probably the rest of it. Also worth noting, since taking this photo, I've etched a name for him (I think we named him Caspian?) and his right leg has a roman numeral III in the white part now.

Really, my first foray into trying NMM. My reasoning behind trying to learn how to do it (other than it looks great) is that it doesn't make sense to use actual metallics on something that would be thread or cloth. I think it came out pretty good.

If you're not thinking "UGUUU~~~" right now, I am very sad. This is the Royal Paladin from Super Dungeon Explore, which is a phenominal board game and I highly recommend giving it a chance if you know someone in person to play it with. Painting super chibi miniatures is a blast. I have been meaning for some time to get around to uploading all of the finished figurines I've done for my friend onto my blog but alas, it hasn't happened yet. I don't even have a good excuse as I can do it all from my phone. If only I was allowed to have my phone on the working business floor where I work.

Feel free to comment, criticize. Browse my blog and tell me if you like any of the things there.

Great work. The Beserker with the banner is amazing, and yeah, the NMM is great. For a first attempt, it's even more brilliant.

Nice job, sir. Question though - why is the Zerker's right hand white?
