Ok so let's say I want to bring a fortification that has automated fire and primary target. Like the wall of martyrs redoubt, and let's say I put battle cannons on in instead of quad ic guns. If I include a quadgun from the battlements list....

Does it have to be attached to the redoubt?

If not how far away from it can it be?

If it can be away is it subject to auto fire and prior target rule?

If it can be away, can someone inside the wall of redoubt control it if within a inch (right next to the redoubt basically)

If it has to be attached is it considered to Have auto fire and target prior? In other words could I have a marine shoot the quad and auto fire shoot the cannons.

Do all 3 guns have to shoot the same target?

Do the guns and the people inside have to shoot the same target?

Since quad has interceptor can it shoot during opponents turn and my turn shoot the cannons?

Since quad has interceptor can it shoot during opponents turn, and shoot the punisher gats at the same time? If I have given it punisher gats.

I think i had another one or two, but don't remember. I also think I know a chunk of answers, but not all and someone disagreed with me so thought to double check. Thanks all.

The new Stronghold Assault book answers a lot of those questions in its section on updated rules.

It tells you where you can place the quad-gun and how far it can be from the fortification. And how it changes if you put it on the battlements.

Remember, if it's not on top of the battlements it will stay a Gun Emplacement and someone will need to be in base contact with it to use it. Not within 1", base contact.

Interceptor is a rule of the quad-gun only so wouldn't apply to any of the other weapons of the fortifications.

As to the Auto Fire/Target Priority, I don't have my stronghold assault book with me and I can't remember whether it was something the fortification had or the weapons, so I'll leave that one to someone else.

This is answered in the stronghold assault book on page 16 under gun emplacements and battlements and page 18 Under battlements and battlefield. Due to the redoubts rules, they will indeed gain the fully automated rule it appears, how strange

No, these are the firestorm's weapons only

No, they must be in base contact as per gun emplacement rules

If it has to be attached is it considered to Have auto fire and target prior? In other words could I have a marine shoot the quad and auto fire shoot the cannons.

It counts as an additional emplaced weapon as per page 16, so it appears yes, my bad, i answered this wrong first time then re-read and it seems so

Do all 3 guns have to shoot the same target?

I dont believe so, for example the quad gun could be fired by a marine (if not emplaced) and a battle cannon at the closest ground target (it cannot target fliers) while a lascannon shoots at the closest airbourne target. If the quad gun was emplaced, then it would fire at the closest flier to it, so likely to be the same as the lascannon, but in some circumstances maybe not

Do the guns and the people inside have to shoot the same target?

The structures weapons that auto fire shoot whatever target the rule forces them to target, the unit inside may fire at whatever unit they wish as per the transport rules, the model firing the quad gun must fire at the same target as the rest of his unit (and vice versa)

Since quad has interceptor can it shoot during opponents turn and my turn shoot the cannons?

yes

Since quad has interceptor can it shoot during opponents turn, and shoot the punisher gats at the same time? If I have given it punisher gats.

No, the punishers do not have intercepter

I think i had another one or two, but don't remember. I also think I know a chunk of answers, but not all and someone disagreed with me so thought to double check. Thanks all.

Hope that helps
