Mawlock: 140 points, S6 6 wounds, I4, 3 Attacks, hit and runn and the some times awsome burrow attack.

Carnifex: 120 points, S9 4 wounds, I4, 4 Attacks (if melee), and the awsome 1d3 impact hits.

I would say the mawlock is superior but I am not shure. It has a high chance of being in the wrong place at the wrong time with a failed borrow attack (let's face it, it will very often scatter 7" off.) If it lives til the end of the game you might burrow it and have it eat some scoring units.

The carnifex's impact hits are quite good and S9 means it does not need to smash vs regilar vehicels and multi wound models. Since they can be taken in broods they can also benefit a lott from the right psykick power.

Most likly both of theese would benefitt from some sort of adrenaline gland for the fleet.

I'd give that matchup to the fex just for lower cost and better damage output, but I personally think tyrant guard are better overall choices.

I think you should run just one Mawlock anyway because it basically has infinite range.

Mawlock, because the fex has a greater chance it will be shot up before it does any damage
