Hey guys.

I'm looking at playing in an upcoming 2000pt Escalation tournament at my FLGS.

As I've never participated in an escalation game or used a Stompa before, I thought I'd ask for some feedback on my proposed list.

HQ
Big Mek w/ KFF
Warboss w/ Mega Armour, Cybork Body

5 Burnaz + Mek
5 Lootas + Mek
5 Lootas + Mek

3 Mega Armour Nobz (2 Combi-scorhas) in Battlewagon w/ Deff Rolla, Big Shoota
25 Boyz w/ 2 big shootas + Nob (PK, boss pole)
25 Boyz w/ 2 big shootas + Nob (PK, boss pole)

FAST ATTACK
3 Deffkoptas (standard)

LORD OF WAR
Stompa

Total - 1997 points


Plan is it run the Nobz and Warboss on the wagon deff rolling stuff whilst marching the stompa up the board repairing any lost points with the Meks whilst firing a few Loota shots each turn.

Keeping the boyz near the Stompa so that they're fearless and providing a degree of protection for it.

The Deffkoptas are there to be a nuisance more than anything else.

May drop the Cybork Body on the Warboss for 2 more Combi-scorchas or rokkits

All feedback (good or bad) is greatly appreciated!

here's a tip take a 5man loota squad and have 3 of them to be Meks, give each mek a grot oiler and make them stay innside the Stompa for mass repairs. Yes you want the big mek in here too.

Other than that.. skip the two other burna/loota squad the deffkoptas and 6 boyz of each squad and fit them into battlewagons It's either go 3+ battlewagons or none! Then again i do have no idea what you have of models.

@phatonic Agreed, that does sound a lot better.

I only own 2 battlewagons but should be able to borrow one more.

I still have the Deffkoptas only because I always have a lot of success with them.

Mhm.. if that's 2000 on the spot, skip two big shootas from the boyz (one from each group)and the RPJ on the one battlewagon so you can afford one big shoota on each battlewagon, You don't want to be penned and get a weapon destroyed without having a wep. (instant immobilised)

And you are set!
The deffkoptas are fun and best taken in reserve to outflank with them, well that's my experience with them
