Just had 47 bikes kind of fall into me lap ( along with 5 attack bikes, 15 terminators, 2 dreadnoughts, 4 land speeders and a rhino)

So I'm trying ot make a competitive list using only the bikes and so far this is all I can come up with

White scars

HQ
Chapter master w/bike, Shield eternal, thunder hammer 250 pts

Khan on bike 150 pts

Command squad w/ Apothecary, bikes, 1 melta bomb, 4x combi grav, standard of the emperor ascendent

Troop

5x 8(9)-man biker squadron w/ 2x grav guns, sarge w/ melta bomb and combi grav and MM Attack bike

Anyone have an idea how well this might work out?

I think it would work decently, some flier support might be nice but that many bikes are just plain hard to deal with.

I would consider going with 3 mm attack bikes and 6 squads of 6 bikes with 2 grav guns. If i were going to build a command squad just go with regular grav guns not combi gravs. Keep the meltabombs they are good in a pinch. I might consider adding a stormtalon or 2.

Also imo I think speeders are awesome with a hb and typhoon ml

Are you playing competitively? Khan is not worth it in that scene because of the proliferation of inquisitorial detachments and hence servo skulls. Points are best spent elsewhere.

As for the squads, stick to squads of 5, and I wouldn't take more than 30 bikes whether you have the models or not. The board gets crowded, you can't use terrain to shield yourself as necessary etc. Besides, you need some points for supporting units. How about some AA like 2 Storm Talons to build on the fast theme?

You are overstating how popular the Inquisition supplement is. Khan is a powerhouse in White Scars against anything Xenos (Taudar specifically) and a huge amount of Inquisition armies take Coteaz who doesn't even have access to servo-skulls. Melta bombs allow the scouted squads to bottom of 1/top of 2 charge and destroy mech armies like serpent spam. Triple TFC is also poor, two can clean house in few turns then rarely have efficient targets leftover.

As for the original post, you can just give the Command Squad full fledged Grav guns rather than combi-grav as per the FAQ.
