Really quite pleased with this (especially as it's MINE, not a commission for once)...

The first of 3 sub-armies in my Lancastrian force for 1st St Albans...

Ooooooo.
They look great, these models are so nice and you've done them justice.
Lovely and crisp.
I'm not 100% on the bases, through trying to be random the leaves have actually become quite uniform ie evenly spaced.
If it's not too late I'd consider adding/replacing some of the leaves with some small rocks, twigs, tufts, flock and different coloured static grass and leaves for a bit more realism.

Great work.

Oli: Can I be an orc?
Everyone: No.

When I get hold of some white flower tufts, those will go on in various places. Leaves come off or break with handling anyway - the bases will change with er, maintenance... :-)
For now, though they're workable. On with other jobs before messing with them any more.

Impressive, as always. Loving the sporadic addition of painted helms - don't see much of that (from wargamers or modern armorers/reenactors, sadly), but it adds a nice visual (and documentable) flair.

I admire your patience, as well. 40k painters complain about the tedium of picking out rivets - I wonder how many would remain so vocal after tackling a unit of infantry wearing corrazinas...

White Flowers on Lancastrian bases? Madness!

How to paint Skeletons the way I do if that's something you'd fancy trying.

The only freehand is on Buckingham himself. All the badges and banners are laser printed paper or decals.

These look fantastic!

Not being entirely familiar with the Perry Miniatures range...here comes the inevitable scale question...

Can they work as Empire Infantry? Would they look OK in amongst other GW miniatures?

These are all based on standard size GW bases- there's a small integrated base which raises them a couple of mm.

Heights wise, they're pretty close, but these are 'true' 28mm scale, so they seem skinny or 'petite' by comparison with 'warhammer style'. They'd be ok facing off against a warhammer army, but I wouldn't mix them in an army myself.

These look great! I am particularly impressed with the faces which are very small on Perry miniatures.

Perry Miniatures look great - due, of course, a lot because of your stellar painting!
