Since I had a hard time picking a faction I thought I would share this to help others out:

I am sure Hordes is coming soon

Whoever wrote that took one single look through Battlecollage and wrote a completely misleading "Common misconception" for Retribution. it's logic does not fit with the rest of the armies.

I really need to stay away from the 40K forums.

It's an overview at best of each faction. But each faction has so many different playstyles and ways to go it is hard to do an overview that covers all of them. I myself wasn't super impressed by the Cygnar one. They tried to boil down a very complicated faction into 100 words or less. They also relied on some "generalities" that are not always the same between fluff and the game.

I give it a C+. It pretty much parrots the general info from BC or the books, but does give a couple useful warnings that sometimes people don't realize right away. Hopefully new people will use it as a starting off point and then go investigate anything that sounds more interesting. IMO Battlecollege is still more useful. The overviews at BC may not cover some of the things this article does, but they have links to all the units and casters, etc with run downs that end up making it much more in depth and useful.

The problem is that this page inconsistent in it's use of logic and provides sometimes completely faulty information.

I really need to stay away from the 40K forums.

Please ignore this page then...is there a way I can take this post down?

I was only trying to help.

I prefer it when people ask fun comparisons like: "I like blue/white in MTG, what's the best Warmahordes faction for me?" I think there should be pages dedicated to these comparisons.

Joker. don't feel bad for trying to help.

The most important thing for anyone to remember -new players especially- is that this article is based on opinion. The author of the article is obviously trying to leverage his experience and knowledge but warmachine is not a game you can unequivocally KNOW. I have written a similar post myself a couple of years ago. Any opinions are useful for comparison and research but you have to understand the article is written to paint a very rough outline of factions from one player's perspective.
