Having just won a bunch of wolves from ebay, I'm likely going to need some 'The Fang' coloured spray to save a metric ton of time. HOWEVER I'm inclined to give Vallejo a go (cheaper too) but when looking at conversion charts, The Fang appears as a dark grey rather than the dark blue I have right here in the pot of it I have.

As such, I'm confused as well by Vallejo calling the 'equivalent' colour 'Shadow Grey' when The Fang (The one I have) doesn't look grey at all whilst the sample here on dakka dakka's chart is definitely grey.

I don't think my monitor is glitched...

its a blue-grey. Shadow grey was a name citadel uised a while ago for a similar colour in the older ranges of paints.

Vallejo game colour Sombre grey looks about right

That looks like a good colour, but sadly it doesn't come as a spray as far as I can tell. I'll keep looking.

The Fang is darker and more violet than the old Shadow grey.

My imperial guard use to be Shadow Grey and Black, but when i started repainting them, I used the Fang and it was a bit darker than its predecessor, in my opinion i feel its more blue than grey

I think VMA 'Dark Grey Blue' is a pretty good match to the Fang, maybe slightly darker.

So the sample colour on the dakka dakka chart is based on the old shadow grey? Makes sense, but does this mean the different versions associated with it are like the old Shadow Gey or the new Fang colouring?
