Hello everyone, I am starting a new eldar army, do you think this composition is good : (advice is very welcome)

HQ: Eldar farseer 105 points
Troops: 5x Dire avengers: 65 points
5x Rangers: 60 points
3x Windrider Jetbike Squad: 153
1x Wave serpent: 115

First of all, I like the list, has sme varieties. Second, whats your tactics, what kind of game is it? Objectives? KP?
If its Objectives, well then you have a quite good list all around, to let the Rangers sit back on objectives and get the others up.
If it's KP, then I think you'll have some trouble in my opinion. I'm not a big Eldar player, but to me you need some more anti meq. Ofc, you could drop the jetbike squad for some more variety, ofc it's all about fielding units you like, and I personally like Jetbikes, Thunderwolf cavalry and so on. Else than that, looks pretty decent.

This is a good list for 500pts, but i guess the farseer has singing spear? Otherwise hes 100pts.

Other then that not much else I can recommend, some people (not ninjafiredragon) would say something like, 2 serpents with 5 avengers and a spiritseer, but thats up to you!

What are you planning for 1000pts?

I don't really know what I will get for 1000points, I kinda like wraiths but I don't know if they are optimal at 1000pts. What would you recomend for me to get at 1000 points?

1000 points? I would say Striking Scorpions. I've played with them several times, they can ahnnihalate anything. Once charged them against a Terminator squad and destroyed them, just put them in a wave serpent and flank them. You can't go wrong in town with Scorpions.

Nono, just wanted to point out the scorpions, you can take wraiths as well, or whatever unit you think is awesome!

Competitively, you'd want to give your Farseer a Jetbike, and add another 5x Man Dire Avenger unit in a Wave Serpent. at 1000 Points. That would give you another 200 or so points to play around with.

For another 500pts, here are some options.

1) competitive: jetbike and mantle for farseer, and 5 avengers with serpent x2

2) not as competitive but fun: crimson hunter x1, warp spidersx5, war walkers with duel SL/BL x3 and 35pts left for wiggle room.

What about some swooping hawks for the grenades??

Honestly I'm not a huge fan of hawk, other then the nade pack they drop (which is fantastic) their guns are under whelming and the haywire grenades only work if you survive after coming from DS.

So should I get them at 500pts??

I like the idea of a crimson hunter at 500 points. There's not really too much to threaten a flyer at low points; if they bring a flyer, crimson hunter will fix that for you! It's an anti-flyer beast!

If you'll be playing many games at 500 points, might be worth bringing a spinner support battery. Pretty cheap, and the hardest armies to beat at low points are hordes of cheapo infantry. Spinners can fix that for you!
