So, building my fw190, and one of the 20mm cannons, those minuscule bits of metal, falls out of my tweezers and is now lost somewhere on the floor.

Is it me or was it a stupid idea to make such tiny parts separate to the rest of the model? Thanks to this I now have an aircraft model I can't use as one of the guns is gone.
Probably an act of desperation, but does anyone know a way I could possibly solve this problem?

Try contacting Battlefront customer service. They may send you a replacement. Worst case scenario is you may have to pay a couple of bucks for a replacement.

I've just had a look at the model on the BF website. The part looks like a square piece of metal that slots into a hole in the wing with the cannon on the side. The cannon itself is pretty tiny, so at a pinch I'd use green stuff and small peice of brass rod. Once painted it should look fine.

Place a dish towel (or panty hose if someone in your house will let you) over a the tool attachment for a vacuum cleaner. It does wonders for helping to find those lost parts.

If you replace the cannon barrel with brass rod, replace both of them to make sure they look identical.

Another option if you want to spend the money is to buy 1/350 scale naval gun barrels.

Or possibly 1/700 scale if it makes a better size match.
