Hello all. My questions concerning the ADL are about movement.

1. Do the walls prevent or restrict movement across them for non-flying, non-skimming vehicles?

2. Essentially the same as 1 but for infantry.

Page refs are always nice as my friends don't take the word of the "forum". Thanks in advance.

That way,then left

What kind of terrain is an ADL?

(hint : Page 114.)

It's battlefield debris which according to pg 104 lists it as difficult terrain. The guys I was playing with said non flying vehicles can't go over it and infantry models lose 2in of movement. I was just checking to make sure I'm not missing something.

ask them where the arbitrary "2 inches" comes from and for them to show you the rule.

If not, indeed, it's the same as difficult terrain (and all of those rules apply for vehicles & Infantry).

P104 for the rules you need (Barricades and walls & Defence lines)

No you've got it right. Moving through difficult terrain allows you to pass through walls (page 90)
So vehicles would have to test for Dangerous terrain and infantry for distance (difficult terrain)

I take it the guys you were playing with really wanted to win.

When in doubt, ask them to show you the rules.

I didn't look all that up until after the game. I did lose that game but ADL ruling didn't really effect the outcome. When we are in doubt of a ruling, we just go with "something" until the end of the game.

That's what we usually do, if It gets real heated we roll a dice, or in the case of my one buddy, have a wrestling match, lol it happens. The ADL is just difficult terrain that can be moved over.
