Hello!

I recently purchased the Db KO deal off the Mantic site, so I have the Extra Time add on pack too.

I've not busted open the cards yet (or even glued the teams together!), but I'm curious what the Ref Bot does? Is it just for display, or are there rules for it? Will I need to purchase the full rule set too?

If that is the case, I am disappoint because I could have just bought the full set...

There are rules for it, but they're optional, they'll be in the digital copy you got with extra time.

As part of your cleaning up phase (my term), at the end of your rush you'll turn over a card to potentially move the ref.

The number of spaces you may move her is on the upper left of all cards. You may then move her 0-that max number of spaces. She may cross spaces with color on them (strike areas and the launch tube) but may not end in those spaces.

Whenever a ref check is called, if she is within 7 spaces of the offending player, she adds an additional die to the roll.

Each dice in a ref check is read like this:
4-6 (the foul was missed/no effect)
1-3 = the number of rushes the fouling player is sent off for/placed in sin bin.

If you roll only one dice (i.e. if you play without the ref) then 3 rushes is the max you are ejected for. If you add the ref's die in, there's potential for 1-3 more rushes ejection since you add any results of 1-3 on all dice in the check.

If a player is ejected for 4+ rushes he's completely thrown out of the game. Moving the ref to where you suspect your opponent may foul you OR away from where you plan on fouling or just to further screw up your opponent's movement is part of the fun of having the ref in play.

Thanks Privateer - very comprehensive. I'm jumping the gun a bit I know but I was puzzled, and I do so hate being puzzled.

Oh right, I didn't notice a code or anything in the blister pack. I'll check again when I get home, as I saved all the inserts/printouts.

Cheers Squig!

Edit: found it, it's a sneaky little QR code
