I've got an imperial guard army that I'm'm making and was thinking about allies for them. I settled on the idea of daemons, and want to do a small mono god force. I was thinking about using tzeentch but i'm not sure. Does anyone have any advice for me?

I think that depends on what your guard list looks like and what you looking for the Daemons to do. Tzeentch is good at shooting and decent in melee (except pink horrors they can only shoot). If you looking for melee support then Slannessh might be a better choice.

My guard list is based around two platoons of infantry behind an aegis defence line, with two manticores as artillery support with a scout sentinel squadron.
As well as this I'm getting an inquisitor with a small retinue to help hold the line.

The daemons I want to try and capture, or at least contest my opponents objectives as if my guardsmen step past the defence line they tend to die horribly.
I don't know which god would be best for this.

20 daemonettes, 20 seekers and a daemon prince with wings and lvl 3 for telepathy or 2 heralds of slaanesh, both lvl 2. I would try to include a psyker battle squad for telepathy lolz. oh and drop the inquisitor, but that's the fluff bunny in me.

The inquisitor is staying for prescience. As to the fluff i was thinking that the guard are going about their usual business of dying gloriously and the god of chaos that I end up using takes advantage of the battle to work towards their own ends.

And I'm guessing from the list below Slaanesh is the recommended god.
