What's up guys, after losing to daemons a good few times I decided to make a list to try and counter them.
It's small by most standards due to the amount of terminators I've taken. Now some of you will think, "why terminators". Reason is hellblades, ap3. And bloodletters are so cheap.
Here's the list I'll leave you people to discuss and possibly denounce my list lol.

HQ Chaos lord - mark of Tzeentch, Gift of Mutation, Sigil of Corruption, Terminator armour, Lightning Claw, Chainfist. 185
Dark Apostle -mark of Tzeentch. 120

Troops Chaos space marine 15* 205
Chaos space marine 6* flamer 93

Elites Terminator squad 5* Mark of Tzeentch, Heavy flamer. 192
Terminator squad 10* Mark of Tzeentch, 2 Heavy flamers, 5 Lightning Claws, 2 Chainppffists. 441

Heavy Havocs 5* flamers 4, rhino, 130
Havocs 5* heavy bolters 4. 115

Altogether it's 1496 which is ok. 49 models. Could replace rhino and put 3 marines into one of the squads. But I'll think on that later, I'm more interested in what you guys (and girls) think.

Also using my phone for this so I apologize if this is a little messy looking, cheers.

Hey,
Someone will most likely point this out, but daemonettes are so much better, 1 point cheaper, faster and have rending.
You need more objective holding power only 1 in 6 games are kill point based.
And if someone brings a GUO better hope those pfists survive!
But good luck regardless

The Twilight Zone

Your chainfists are outright worthless unless you plan on fighting multiple soulgrinders, which I hope is not the case given that you have virtually no other anti tank weapons. Save a few points here and there by dropping them back down to power fists.

You could also save points on lightning claws and just take stock power weapons. Deamons have no real armor saves to speak of, and invuls across the board. While the claws cost points and are S4 ap3, power mauls are S6, meaning you wound more often eliminating the need for re rolls, and save points elsewhere(The lightning claw on the champ makes sense though)

If monstrous creatures are giving you trouble, take plague marines. They are a great CC counter to most MC's. Being T5 with FNP, they effectively have a 5+ save even against MC attacks. Blight grenades mean no extra charge attacks, and with plague knives you can dump wounds into an MC. Against T4 or less, they re roll to wound in combat! You can still give them flamers or whatever for crowd control and horde deterrence. Bloodletters still only get 1 attack base against them(blight grenades) and need to cut through T5 and FNP.

If you go up against deamonetts you are outright screwed, as they are not only cheaper than bloodletters but they can rend and hit with a LOT of attacks. Your only saving grace is that they are slightly easier to wound in overwatch so you may cut them down and they may fail their charge. To help against bloodletters, just stay in cover. Since the bloodletters lack grenades, you strike first and hopefully you can win by enough that the unit will fall apart due to demonic instability.

The most important rule of 40K-Page XVII of the 6th edition rulebook, the figure at the top right of the page. "Shake hands with your opponent and thank them for a good battle and fun experience." Then go out for a beer.

I will take your advice and dump a few bad choices. The guys I play with don't use slaanesh at all, in fact one uses just Khorne daemons, Apart from nurgle soul grinder in cover.
The other player has all but slaanesh in his army. He always deepstrikes Skulltaker with full unit of bloodletters, hence the havoc flamers.
Plague marines I might use. As far as I remember they only have two monstrous creatures in each army. Although they have skull cannons so waiting in cover isn't good. And what's more the Khorne only player uses a landing pad to deepstrike everything and give them a 4++.

I'd get rid of the vindicator, against daemons it's kinda poor. Most things can glance it to death in combat, others like a soul grinder, can destroy it outright.
I like your use of plague marines but a good few daemon armies will now overwhelm you in bodies.

The daemon list is terrifying, two soul grinders is general overkill. But since their not nurgle my mind is at ease more. Would you use them as weapon platforms or more aggressively?

This is a general question for everyone - How would you destroy a soul grinder in cover with Mark of nurgle? So it has a 3+ save in woods or 2+ in ruins, with defensive grenades.
Any advice?
And to make it slightly harder, you only have units from the chaos space marines codex.

You could drop the vindi for 7 more plague marines with dual flammers. And combination bolter

The grinders can do either not nurgle for fluff reasons

The deamon list is all I10 except the grinders with 8 models w/ ap2 I10 AtK's none of my gaming group will play it any more

HellBrute w/ dual DCCW I4 S10 AP2 since the grinders are only I3 S10 AP2 THAT extra 1I could spell disaster.
