I have been considering making a fun small SW army many built around
Thunder wolf calv (3 squads)
a Wolf lord on a thunder wolf (or Cannis)
2 squads of grey hunters in pods
2 squads of long fangs
Do you guys think this would be a worth while list? I have not had a chance to look into the rules of SW so sorry if I sound foolish. However, I think it looks fun also it would probably have some IG attached to it.

I like the thunder wolves. Always like to try and throw in at least 1 squad. But with only 2 grey hunter squads you're going to have a hard time with objectives. And I'm not sure you'd have enough power going for a board wipe. IG could help but with this small amount of guys and you mostly just wanting to run thunder wolves, I'd almost just say do IG as your primary with SW as allies. Then take Wolf Lord on thunder wolf, 1 squad of thunder wolves to run him with, 2 squads of grey hunters and 1 squad of long fangs. Also what kinda upgrades and equipment were you thinking for your guys? I my wolf lord with storm shield and saga of the bear on a thunder wolf. Pick the weapon you want for his role. Toss him in a squad of 3 thunder wolves with at least 1 stormshield and they can be pretty mean. Maybe even throw another HQ in there since space wolves can take 2 hq per 1 slot. So when they ally in they can have 2 HQs Maybe a rune priest to run with your grey hunters.

You really dont need Canis too much unless you are gonna run a lot of fenrisians, the Wolf Lord will give the pack his Leadership anyway and thats really the only buff canis can dish out IMO

I agree with draken, spread your list a tiny bit, beef up the Long fangs, their abuse of split fire can mean one squad can pour a Lc and PC shot into two things and then your ML long fangs will do work.

How big are your GH squads, which load outs do you want, have you accepted the Lone wolf into your life as your own personal savior?

Lone Wolves are great all around 20 points for a Baller unit who wrecks face

Look into either a Rune priest or a wolf priest they both play differently and can do a ton of damage when placed properly

Ah yeah! Lone wolves! They are the SW version of Marbo...aka a must have!

I would go Rune Priest over Wolf Priest but that's personal preference.

I would go with full squads of GH so you get the extra weapon.
