Hello
I have a question regarding the wave serpent,I mainly run them and when they got attacked I mainly use their cover save which is 4+,The question from where do I receive this 4+ cover save? Is it because Jink + Holofields?
For Holofields,if the wave serpent stays behind an aegis gun line, does it make the cover save 3+ because of the holo fields?

Thanks!

Jink grants a cover save. Holofields then have a rule which can improve cover saves, and is in your codex.

If you are granted as cover save, holofields can improve that save. It does not matter where you get that cover save from (usually) - however note you have to be 25% obscured by the Aegis defence line, which may or may not be the case - use TLOS

So what if your in open ground do you get a cover save at all for being a moving vehicle? Or do you just get a 5+ jink which is a 4+ because of the Holofield??

Might be a good idea to read the Jink rule. It really answers this question.

See the rules for Jink, and then look up specific vehicles such as those with the Skimmer type. This is explicitly stated in the rulebook
