Just finished up my Ghazghkull which I plan to proxy as my Mega-Armored Bad Moons boss. I know the freehand patterns are a little jacked up in places so I'll probably touch those up later. I'm also experimenting with my bases using Citadels technical paint and some cork rocks for a badlands/desert theme.

I'm still pretty new to painting so any tips or critiques are greatly appreciated.

On Nimbosa, cramming as many guardsmen into troop carriers as possible.

That's a boss that means business (in an orky way) as for the base, if you want to use something cool I can give you a link to a website that sells superb bases.

Stunning job.

My only criticism would be the banner, it looks too clean compared to the rest of the model.

Saying that if I had all the time in the world I couldn't get close to that good of a look so what do I know!

Yeah, I agree about the banner. I was having trouble deciding on the right color to use for the cloth and decided on dark grey with some washes to try and dirty it up. I'm thinking about making it a lighter color like off-white and then adding some brown wash in random places on the cloth and moon to make it look dirty (Sorta like the top left section on the banner). Any tips on the banner are appreciated.

Ironically, the checks on his chin were done with tape but they were so small that I had trouble cutting straight squares. The checkers on his gun arm were freehand.

Beautiful model, love the weathering on the mega armour.

Feeling very optimistic about the Great Crusade... things can only get better from here.
