Hello guys, im new to warhammer and orks have really caught my attention, as they look awsome.
My friends are collecting armies such as SM, IG and TAU with alot of firepower (long raged tanks, dreadnaughts, snipers etc..), and I recently played against them but my slow boy squad got slaughtered. I was thinking I needed some fast units or something.
If any of you guys have any idea of what to get, tell me

Best fast units we have are Nob bikers and Dakkajets backed up by masses of trukk or battlewagons filled with boyz.

I play a friend who runs Orks, and he usually brings Trukks and Battlewagons as mentioned above, and also Defkoptas and Lobbas. I don't know anything about points costs and don't remember weapon strenghts and so forth, but he uses the defkoptas to try and potshot vehicles, and the lobbas for long range anti-infantry with no line of sight requirement (indirect fire??)

Trukks full of boyz or nobz are fast, but not survivable
Trukks full of Megannobz (3-4) are fast and more survivable, but more expensive.
Battlewagons full of boyz, nobz, or meganobz are not quite as fast, but much more survivable.
Nob Bikers are fast, but expensive.
Adding a Big Mek with KFF to trukks or battlewagons increase their survivability.
Dakkajets are fast, but unreliable (when they come in)
Warbuggies and Deffkoptas are fast but not very good.

Generally, if you are going fast you want to run a lot of fast stuff. So consider something resembling the options below.

Option 1:
3 Battlewagons with 18 shoota boyz + nob w/ PK, BP
1 Battlewagon with 3 Meganobz & MA Warboss which makes them troops.
1 Battlewagon with 3 Meganobz & Big Mek w/ KFF, Burna

Option 2:
4 Trukks w/ 11 boyz + nob w/ BP, Big Choppa.
1 Trukk w/ 3 Meganobz & MA Warboss which makes them troops.
1 Trukk w/ 11 boyz + Big Mek w/ KFF, Burna
2 Dakka jets.

Option 3:
2 Battlewagons with 18 shoota boyz + nob w/ PK, BP
1 Battlewagons with 18 shoota boyz + nob w/ PK, BP & Big Mek w/ KFF, Burna
1 Trukk w/ 3 Meganobz
6 Nob Bikers + Painboy & Biker Warboss w/ PK, BP
