So, My group finaly got the 40k in 40 minutes tournament started so.. I'm having trouble making an army list with my necrons.. So I decided to ask here, Whats a good necron list for 400 points?
The rules are
400 points (No more then 100 points on a single model)
No psycher over lvl 1
Must have one troops choice
At most one HQ (Not not needed)
Must have a army leader (If no HQ other character must be chosen)
At most 2 choices each from Elites, Fast Attack and Heavy Support
No more then 3 wounds on a model
No special characters
All non-vehicle models are scoring
No 2+ armor saves
No armor value higher then 33
No deep strike or reserves
No Warlord Traits

And the models I own are
32 Warriors
10 Deathmarks
10 Immortals
3 Overlord (2 unassembled)
Destroyer Lord
5 Lychguard
Triarch Stalker
3 Annihilation Barge (2 unassembled)
Doomsday Ark
Doom Scythe
3 Wraiths
5 Triarch Praetorians (unassembled)

First off, do Quantum Shields count towards the AV33 limit? Becuase if not, all your tanks are under this limit, and you can have a lot of fun with tough tanks. Don't do it if the game isn't competitive, as it is a bit cheesy, but if it is a tournament and the TO agrees that QS don't count, then go for it.

Warriors are good at this level, maybe a squad of 15 as a solid core.

15 Warriors: 195
Annihilation Barge: 90
3 Wraiths: 105

Gives you 2 fast moving elements (Wraiths and barge), 2 units that can handle vehicles (Barge and Warriors), and 2 units that can score (Wraiths and Warriors). You've got CC, shooting, mobility and scoring covered. I'm sure this could be tweaked to be better (maybe smaller warrior squad and other wraith, or maybe 2 smaller warriors squads?) but I think it'd make a neat core with the models you have.

Wraiths are Fast Attack, and cannot score.

Unfortunately I think modified armour higher then 33 is too much too so I dont think I can take any of my tanks..

And Jasper, If you look at the rules set for the 40k in 40 minutes mini tournament one of them are that all non vehicle models are scoring.

Since the rules you posted forbid Tyranids from playing, I'm curious if you left something out or if Nids really aren't allowed.

If you can't take the tanks, then what about another warrior squad? Maybe some Immortals?

Unfortunately, the 100 point model limits rule out some of the Cron's best stuff, most notably a tooled up destroyer lord which would wreck face at 400 points.

I would go with more models if you can't take tanks. Maybe a Spyder, as you could then spawn scarabs and get a good points advantage.

I cant link to the rules, A friend wrote them and stuck them to the wall in the club, And another guy took a photo and posted it to our facebook group. What is it in the rules that prevents Tyranids from playing..?

And I realy do like my Immortals with Tessla.. Hehe, They are much fun ^_^

The cheapest character Nids have is 145 points base.
A Character is required by the statement "Must have a army leader (If no HQ other character must be chosen) "

Since you can't have a model over 100 points and you must have a Character, and Nids can't meet that requirement...

Ah. Thats not very nice.. Dont know if we have anyone that will play nids though, If we do, We will see if the guy who wrote up the rules can fix it for them.
