It's looking good for a first attempt, but for me it feels like it needs a wash to pick out the recesses.

I think you have nice solid colours there. He looks pretty good so far, but with a little bit of time and probably some reading around the P&M forums he could go from nice to wicked, or whatever adjectives suits you better.
I would go over him now with a lighter blue perhaps and do some edge highlighting, to give him some more depth. Not sure how you do that with an airbrush, but it's super easy to do by hand. Another thing, he's got all these campaign inscriptions on his guns, but he looks almost brand new! I'm just getting into it myself, so I can't really comment on how to go about it, but again there is plenty of tutorials on the different weathering techniques in the P&M. Things like paint wear, rust and battle damage are all things to consider
Also some little stuff like the gun barrels on the AC, you don't have to drill them out but a little dab of paint on the tips will do nicely. His base too, could use some interest. A good way to spice this up is with some different height levels on the base itself. Try a making a rock or two that are one height and then add in a plant or something that's a bit taller, maybe a broken bit of ruin, something to move the eye around.
Something I like to do, and you'll see what I mean if I ever get around to posting pics, is do that tiny unintelligible scribble work on the armour. You can see examples in almost any SM codex, and it makes almost anything look better. I like to imagine that they are little stories or quotes from the Codex Astartes! Lol, what a nerdlinger hey?
Anyways, that's what I think and I'm sure other will agree with me, with much less verbiage. You have a nice mini there, a good clean paint scheme and this model has plenty of potential. Good work and keep it up. Post more pics of him later!

@VonDaDDo - I'm going to second sierra 1247's advice - Whilst it looks 'good' now, a wash, or lining in the recesses with a darker blue, would take this model to 'great'. To some extent I also agree with darkcloak, in that the base is rather flat. Cork sheets, available in most hobby stores (or in the form of dinner place-mats and coasters as I found it ) can be ripped up and glued in layers to give the impression of rock strata. Combine this with a bit of flock, and maybe some scenic items and it'll add a touch flair to the base. Regarding compliments, the overall look is good, and in particular your painting of the lenses is excellent and looks very convincing. Hope this helps

Not bad. I'll echo the need for a wash and I'd also recommend looking up some tutorials on how to do Green Stuff fur. The fur on his shoulders look like pizzas.

He's a nice tabletop quality as he is now. With a little extra brush work you can put him over the top. There are already some good suggestions above, so I won't add anything in that respect.

Looking a lot better

1. Go to FLGS on a 40K game night.
2. Announce to no one in particular "I have over 10,000 points of Space Marines".
3. Sit back and watch as some 30-ish Neckbeard who still lives with his parents not only disputes your claim, but goes on to describe his 30,000 points of Blood Angels and how he has been playing since Rogue Trader days... And yet you will have never seen him either play 40K or that army.
4. From here, you have several options. Continue the conversation, or just end it. Either way, I guarantee you will waste 1+ hour of your life talking to this guy. Have fun!
