So im new to Orks and cant really find or know of any good combinations that make the orks really devastating and can actually win tournaments.

I've heared that Dakkajets and Tons of Shoota Boys and Loota's are really effective but is this really true ?

In a word: yes.

For HQ, if you're footslogging lots of boys, bring a big mek with a KFF to provide a much-needed 5+ cover.

If you need something hard-hitting, fast, and tough, nob bikers led by a Warboss on a bike are an expensive but effective choice. The Warboss also turns the nobs into troops for scoring objectives.

Good heavy support choices are big guns for cheap fire support, lobbas provide a great long-range pinning weapon.

I would suggest you put a list together and post it here, it's easier to provide critique when you know what you're working with.

Dakkajets are great too, but be aware they do drop very quickly when exposed to any degree of Interceptor, the 10/10/10 paper bags they are.

there are two basic ork strategems, the first one includes dakkajets, The Profit of Da Waaagh, and boyz, lotz of boyz. That will give you a solid list. maintain 2" separations between your boys, run 3 30 boy strong mobz of them, and a few dakkajets in support strengthened by a well placed waaagh, few armies can deal with that. Shootas are superior to sluggas, and 30 ork strong ard boy mobz rarely die.

Remember if you maintain 2" separations you will only lose 3-4 boys to any given large blast template.

The other strategy is trukk boyz. Load up the whole army into battle wagons and trukks and rush your opponent. Bikers, nob bikers, and deff coptas are popular in these sorts of lists.
