Gearing up a pod list for the yearly big tourney in my region. My question is how do you handle the anti-pod tactics in todays game (interceptors, riptides, uber castles etc).

(Context my list is 5 pod(melta x2, flamer x2, plasma x1 + a raven, TW and scouts).

If you are worried about interceptor, be sure to use your pod for cover, make use of terrain to try and break LoS too.

Riptides are not too much hassle, plasma is their worst enemy.

Uber Castles are problematic, but I find the biggest problem (aside from terrible dice rolls) is an army that has taken power weapons in every squad (I do not) and still has more firepower than you. Makes it hard to sit back or move forwards, that's where focusing your fire comes in handy to break up their lines.

MSU it as much as possible, and SWARM with pods.

The biggest threat interceptors are usually overkillers, or AoE (riptides and broadsides being the main threat), so by having smaller squads, the punishment deliverable to each is overall smaller.

Drop pods today are "all or nothing" kind of list. a bit of pods will fail, a hell lot can work.

I'd also recommend to use star phantoms when going with pods, to make sure you really hammer it on turn 1, and that the backup pods arrive easier.

can neither confirm nor deny I lost track of what I've got right now.

Why are riptides afraid of a few plasma guns? Riptides are afraid of grav guns, but 4 AP2 shots won't kill a riptide.
