So I'm currently Armyless and have been looking at IK's to be contained in an Imperial force of some sort, with the problem being I don't know what Imperial army the Knights fit in with?

So the question to Knight owners, which army do you think your Knights looks better stood above? Space Marines? Imperial Guard?

Thanks!

Fits quite nicely in GK in my opinion.

Though most people around here that has one, are IG.

can neither confirm nor deny I lost track of what I've got right now.

I would say blobs of guard w/ multiple knights. Move everything forward and win.

You could make one fit into any army visually with a bit of work. I wanted to use my Knight with any army I played (even got people to agree to let me use it with Orks or Chaos Marines if I want, but I wouldn't use it with Nids or Daemons), so I modeled one us as a "dishonored" Knight who's trying to regain his honor by fighting across the various battlefields of the 41st millennium.

I just did a write-up on it last night, too:

Battle-damaged, looking to cover over its past shame, it fits in with any army I want to run it alongside: Space Marines, Imperial Guard, Eldar, Tau, Orks, Chaos Marines, whatever.

Just model yours up to be appropriately generic, like a Freeblade.

A mechanised Militarum Tempestus army would look very nice with a knight. The iconography detail on the Taurox Prime and the Scions is quite similar, especially the metallic trim around all of the armour plates.

The two would work very well as a fast strike force too. The entire army can more 12", the knights can deal with assaults and the scions give good AA and ranged coverage.

Knights can work very fine with Space Marines just like in the promo photos with knights behind SM lines.. another idea is IG horde with tanks and Knight support.

Or you could go all crazy and use them with Militarum Tempestus painted in the same scheme for some Knight House household troops fancy design. Especially if you like lion heraldry, because of Taurox Prime's lion ornament plates.
