Are there any rules for super heavy walkers that are in combat with infantry that are different when the walker is warlord size or bigger? It seems silly that you can tie it up and it cannot shoot or be shot at.

Nope, however stomps usually deal a fair amount of damage

Use to be, but currently Superheavy Walkers can be tied up/hide in combat. Stomp, stomp, stomp.

Super Heavy Walkers work the same as Walkers in CC - except that they ignore Stun, shaken, immobilized, weapon destroyed results and take 1 + D3 on an explosion result in hull points. Stomp does deal with a fair amount troops trying to tie him up. 7th Edition states that you can charge a unit that you can not harm.

Thanks, that's how we played it but it was silly and infuriating to have my great gargant tar pitted by wraith guard and then fed a unit or two in combat every turn so it couldn't shoot.

That means you support your superheavy walkers with infantry. They aren't one-man armies. Keep them bubble wrapped so people can't charge them, or at least be ready to counter-charge so you can get them cleared.

My big problem is the thunderblitz table that lets superheavy vehicles - but apparently not walkers - move through infantry. A guardsman can pin a titan in a corner of the board because the titan still can't move within an inch of it.

You could before. GW's faq said for a long, long time that you could charge what you couldn't hurt.

Not in 6th you couldn't. (He is talking about Nurglings charging vehicles)

Nurglings could not charge Imperial Knights in 6th because the Knights are vehicles and in 6th you can not charge a vehicle you can not hurt.

Incorrect, in 6th you were prohibited from charging a vehicle you could not hurt, which is more specific than the general allowance to chagr e something you could not hurt

Which IIRC spawned many threads on the definition of 'hurt' (mainly involving scarabs I believe)

However the point is now moot - Knight commanders keep your machines away from the hoards!

Hordes actually die pretty easily to IK's, the 3 attacks and the stomp attacks are sure to kill enough so that they fail their LD test.

If they are fearless then they can tie it up for a round or two, but not all that long unless the IK gets bad rolls for a few rounds of combat.
