Having a sort of escalation league with a friend (just one on one) - he's taking Marines (don't know which chapter tactics or which units he's taking). Haven't played daemons this low before but I'm wanting a list that's competitive (power gamer competitive - the kinda people don't like ). But I don't even know if that's possible w daemons at this points level. Aaanyway he's what I've got (not great atm):

HQ
HoN - portalglyph, GL of Fecundity (100)
HoT - ML2, disc (120)

TROOPS
10 Plaguebearers (90)
10 Horrors (90)

HEAVY SUPPORT
Burning Chariot (100)

Totally happy to tear this thing to shreds so what do you guys think? Ideas for future additions are welcome too.

Power level competitive:

Spam psychers and summon daemons. The lower the points of a game - the more brutal those summoning is. You'll have to deal with alphastrike though. Maybe some nurglings here and there to hold till your reserved heralds come in (and u'll have to reserve those if you want to survive a pod-drop).

Another option are a couple heralds hidden in larger squads.

I'm not sure if that's a very competitive build but if he's not a full-drop army, he'll have problems for sure.

I'm not going to advise you about daemon summoning as I dislike it as a strategy. It is too time consuming and requires too much book keeping.

You are spending a lot of the points on the heralds, but not really getting much in return. I'd only run 1 herald and save some points.

How competitive are you being?

Because everything now scores you could make a list like this if you want to pull some cheese:

Herald of nurgle - Greater or Exalted locus

Nurglings x3
Nurglings x3

Soul Grinder - Slaanesh - Torrent
Soul Grinder - Slaanesh - Torrent

2 AV13 walkers at 500 points is very difficult to deal with. You could always remove the locus from the warlord, and have one or both of them as nurgle grinder with phlegm cannon if you want to keep it themed.
Might not be a bad idea, the battlecannons will be more worth their points if you are only going to be playing marines.

Now that idea I like.

Take a Blue Scribe instead for a free roll on the table of Malefic they get kind of broken in the super low points being able to cast Warp Charge 3 powers automatically for free.

Yeah my issue with this idea is that then I'm stuck with them as an HQ slot (we're playing bound lists only...)
