Im really looking for some decent glue with fast dry time and a brush to apply it with. I really want one with a twist off brush to make application easier, any suggestions for a good cheap product that will dry fast but not eat my plastic? Thanks!

I always press dat, if you know what I mean.

This should be readily available at arts & crafts stores and it works great. Tamiya makes a pretty good glue that comes in a bottle/brush configuration. Hobby Lobby would be a good place to look, they sell Tamiya products there.

For superglue I use Krazy Glue with a brush applicator. Pick it up at my local supermarket.

I use an old tube of testors for plastic glue, if you are going with that kind, the one above looks better then what I have...

Testors brush-on plastic glue if you want cement for plastic (the toxic stuff).

"If it's non-toxic, it's non-good!"

Alternatively, superglue like Zap-A-Gap for resin/metal.

I noticed that the plastic glue label recommends wearing something akin to a hazmat suit when handling the glue. I have been using it for years and never used gloves or anything nor do I know anyone who does. ShouldI be worried for my health?

Well, there's a slight risk of gluing something together with it. Only slight, mind.

Elymers Hobby Glue is specifically formulated to bond plastics permanently. It's messy, stringy and you need an applicator but I swear by it. I mean, yes you do have to be careful but I assume this is why you want something with an applicator. Any metal stylus will work, or hell even a paper clip will do. The strings can be a pain if they are overly large and lay across a detail, they will do damage, but again, be careful. The tiny wispy strings can easily be washed off with a brush, you do wash them after assembly right? And the mess, well you just have to be careful with the tube and not squeeze it too hard.

The reason I swear by Hobby Glue and Elymers in particular is that I've been using it for years to build model cars, and I've never been let down. It sticks quickly and yet still allows for a few seconds of adjustment. Super Glue sticks and hold instantly, so if you didn't get that pose right the first time you have to pop it off and try again. Also, all my friends use Super Glue and while I envy their ability to simply pop bits off their models, I smile inside a bit when they accidentally drop a dude and he goes into a million pieces. Mine don't do that...

this stuff times ONE MILLION! Its so goof when i need to remove stuff sometimes the layer of plastic it is attached t comes off instead of the glue, and its a thick gel so its really easy to apply and does not run.

I agree with Scooty. For plastic kits you really want a plastic glue.
