It won't be able to drop the bomb and move supersonic or flat out because it specifically states in the codex that dropping the void bomb counts as using a weapon.

I think point for point the Razorwing is better. It comes with more guns and upgrades its missiles for cheaper. The Voidraven doesn't even have missiles to start with and IMO str9 Lance shots aren't worth the extra points you pay to get the missiles and stuff. If I was taking it just for the Lance weapons then I'd certainly rather have 3 shots coming from a Ravager.

I'm liking the Razorwing more and more though. I'll be testing lists with 2 and 3 of them throughout the next week or so.

The rules don't cover shooting during the movement phase though, so I think it's much more of a grey area than you're acknowledging. Personally, I think it's slopping writing. "Note, this counts as using a weapon." isn't really useful syntax when trying to determine what the unit can and cannot do.

Hopefully a FAQ will clear this up, because until someone official states the bomb is a shooting attack or not, it's indeterminate.

Moving flat out actually only states that you cannot make shooting attacks in the shooting phase. Regardless of what you want the ability to do, the actual rules are indeterminate.

I'd love to be proven wrong, but your interpretation doesn't accomplish that.

I personally like the Voidraven bomber. I would use it to turboboost over as much stuff as possible to maximize the bombs it can drop which are lascannons with blast and lance

the only problem is it only carries one bomb im afraid =/
