It's been quite some time I didn't post anything here.
...but RL hasn't been of the kindest sort.

As I've always found that painting soothes the mind....
so found me some energy and time to finish 2 demi squads, which I started many, many moons ago:

My SEALs have got some tacticals:

Sorry for the quality of the pic, here a better one:

And some heavy support for the Space Sharks:

Thanks Plains of War! There are going to be a lot more old Rogue Trader Marines to be painted! At least one Assault bike squad and then my 2nd Company consisting only of them will be done.

Thanks Stormwall! Really digging those boonie hats. Have already put together another 20 of them and also already undercoated and the first colour - Space Sharks desert grey - applied.
So quite some to follow.

So here what I did today:

It's taken quite some time, but here's the start to my second Chikka squad!

3 Years ago I presented my first female Space Shark squad. And I really got some inspiring answers!

The one that I always kept in mind was from cormadepanda, he told me how to shorten the arms! Promisse kept cormadepanda!

First I used the arms from FW, as they are a tad slimmer than the GW ones, Then cut off a piece from upper part of the arm, about 2mm.
And also shaved it a bit rounder to better fit the shoulder pads. Then I cut off a part of the forearm, about 2mm. Cormadepanda, you shure were right! Looks ace.

To round up the better impression of the arms I used the rimless Mark IV shoulder pads. I cut off about 2.5mm to 3mm along the lower part of them.

Here you can see the Chikka with a head from Statuesque Miniatures, heroic size. Awesome sculpts! Awesome quality!!
(Oh, and seems I forgot to put on the glasses when cleaning the beakie head! )

Long time no see...just dusting off the thread.

RL and health...the usual things.

Finaly managed to finish off the new SEAL squad for my Space Sharks.

I already showed the Master Chief and the special weapon gunner:

The Master Chief has a fab head from MaxMini, guess it's from the Junker head sprue. You can't see it, but he's got a goatee! A great freebee!

I built them so that I can exchange weoapons and arms as needed! Magnets in the special weapons gunner wrist as well as in the Master Chiefs wrist. And also a completely excangaeable left arm on the Master Chief:
Please open only if you're not offended by a certain sign with a finger....

Spoiler:

This SEAL squad is configured, with the help of quite some magnets, to be used in a lot of battle roles. I can even use them as LotD, or - and that will be their main use - in Kill Team games:

Yup... a female SEAL. Wanted to have some of them giving signs to the other squaddies.

A sniper, just for fun, in game the weapon will be used as normal bolter.

Put a magnet into the right hand and the shoulder pad and at the same place on the heavy weapons.
Thus i can change the weapon configuration, as with the Master Chief and special weapon gunner.

Now painting those is a complete different thing...eyes are a bit off (see...health). Lets see if that takes another year...
