Look, if you're making a box holding 5" of foam and your smallest tray is bigger than 1", *please* don't make a 4", but a 5" tray (I need one or two of those, entirely coincidentally ). Just a "big models only" storage box.

Why not stick with an already "standard" tray size? Am I missing something here? Wish everyone used gw size...
Mini box 14" x 10.5"
Gw 14.25" x 10.25"
Sabol 13" x 7.75"
Battlefoam 15.5" x 12"
Kr 15" x 10"

Why everyone gotta be different and difficult......?

Robert said that his case would fit the GW trays though.

Cause you make more money from foam so locking people in with your case is good business.

Yeah the box is slightly larger than gw dimension but if I got gw trays from a plastic case why would I wanna put in a card box. Need cheaper gw trays for my plastic cases!!

Edit:

Also who the f@&$ needs more objective markers, stretch goals moar foam onry.

Second also, checked out their website and their ebay store. Their ebay feedback is pretty gakky with biggest complaint being poor packaging of the minis for shipment. That's always reassuring from someone who is making mini packaging . Pretty tough to screw up rectangular holes in foam I hope. I pledged for two cases. Can't beat the price I've tried all the other foam companies might as well give this a shot too.

One comment if trays aren't finalized, the slightly more rigid bottom layer on sabol and battlefoam trays makes a much more rigid tray that I've found are less prone to accidentally flopping models out when moving trays.

I think I might be having a stroke as for some reason the options are hard to understand.
A double set is a pledge for two boxes?
A 4 pack is 4 boxes?

I'll take that one. You're fine, go operate some heavy machinery.

I also second options that would make trays more rigid as they are easier to deal with.

I've never kickstarted before, but this seems intriguing, as long as the shipping rates aren't as awful as most things to Aus.

I've been looking mostly for vehicle transport, though. Will that be a thing you'll do in the future? I'm talking Trukks, Rhinos, Battlewagons, Flyers. That sort of thing.

I had the double box early bird for $60 but then realised for only $40 more I could get 4 boxes and a shirt.

No - you asked 3 questions, I gave 3 answers and some additional info... Wasn't trying to imply you were at all strokey.

namadio - our foam is actually slightly bigger than gw foam, i currently use a gw case to travel to tournaments so when i designed the foam i wanted foam that would actually fit snug in a gw case. also 170 positive and 5 negative seeming we had never shipped a thing in our life when we started selling on ebay i think we have done pretty well.

Manchu- dually noted about foam rigidity i will look into this.

One other thing. I have to admit the objective markers are because i want them and because no one makes metal ones so if you dont want them dont add to your order. it will only take a few days until foam starts releasing again.

Yeah, I keep waffling but may go in for more. Do you think there will be the ability to add more through a survey as well?

Today's rate means this = £97 so £16.67 per case.
I've found a site that sells the standard 4 tray KR case for £22.50 - there might be cheaper sites but my google-fu is weak as it's late & I'm sleepy.

Remember to account for the VAT and possibly import duty you will be liable for on import to the UK, unless RTP have arranged an EU Distributor to fill the orders.

That £97 will cost you an extra £19.40 in VAT and £8 Post Office handling charge making it £124.40 for 6 cases (£20.73 each). You will probably have import duty waived as £97 is below the limit for where import duty is charged, but if you increased your pledge you may fall foul of that too (the limit is £135 but I'm not certain whether that's before or after VAT is added).

Usually the carrier (post office, ups, FedEx etc) will clear it through customs and send you a card with details and you pay the carrier before the goods are released to you. Couple of days delay maybe? If it's the post office you just take the card and payment to the depot holding the goods.

And if you're lucky customs will miss it entirely and the stuff will just show up without any fees to pay (although bigger boxes are more likely to be inspected and charged)

Yeah I'm thinking you'd be pretty lucky to get 6 figure cases in one package slipping past customs. But you win smuggler' s jackpot if you do

You might confuse them when they open it to find packing materials protecting...nothing! The perfect plan.
