Malfaux 2 is just about selling... stuff...now. That's it.
How so? All the point values per model have gone up, and the whole Henchmen only at 25pts and under, it seems to me that they are encouraging even smaller games. Which would sell less models.
Fun is out of the game, they remade a whole game system on the back of the one people started with, and pretty much shot themselves in the face over it. No one I know really gives Malfaux much of a look anymore.
My gaming group had almost the exact opposite reaction. We had largely abandoned 1st ed, and 2nd is what revitalized it for us. 1st ed was sort of wonky and unbalanced, (Gremlins versus Hamlin, or even worse, Pandora) 2nd ed is much more streamlined and they've worked out allot of the balance problems.
On a more constructive note, what all models were you looking to get rid of?

I've seen Malifaux 2 take off in a way 1 never did. It's just a lot cleaner, and some of those Masters you could take in ME1 literally could not lose in multiple common matchups if played right. IE, Leviticus, Pandora, Chompy and Colette simply could not be beat by the vast majority of other Masters and their lists, when piloted right.
I'll be quite interested in seeing what Wyrd wants out of a mass combat ruleset, as those have been fairly uncommon of late, with the massive growth in the popularity (and amazing quality) of skirmish games.

For now. Give it a year or so and then see how balanced things are when they start adding new stuff.

I'll reserve judgement until we actually get some real info and imagery, so far it makes no real sense and doesn't appeal. Although it might when the real preview information appears as malifaux and the wyrd miniatures are great

How do you expect me to know what it is if you haven't painted it! Unpainted models are just proxies for the real thing |

100-150 models per army and talk of 'army scale' vs. skirmish scale sounds like 15-20 mm. Flames of War inspired, perhaps?

he's got background/rules and a couple of factions done (to the point of being able to test with them) and more faction ideas
but there is no concept art or minis being thought about yet, or scale so far as I can remember
