I still haven't gotten into AoS yet. Lack of time and money is to blame.
But I might pick this up. It looks like something I could play with my non-Warhammer playing friends.

Just picked it up today. Shout out to Mr Nice Guy Games in Monroeville PA. Good price and and they’re building a gaming community. If you’re in the Pittsburgh area, come in and show interest. I’m not affiliated, just shilling for a cool location. This is the release I’ve been anticipating since it was first previewed.

I just played my first games today. It did look fun and fairly balanced so far...

We played 3 games (our first) in about 2 hours, so it was easy enough to pick up.

The boy, I say, the boy is as sharp as a sack of wet mice...

I did end up picking up a copy. Not sure when I might get to play it, but I guess GW has suckered me in again, at least one more time.

Picked it up and played a few games. Really like it, plays fast and simple to grasp yet offer a good deal of choice and thinking!

I can see tinkering with decks becoming really interesting when more cards and boards are introduced.

Overall I think GW has a winner in this one, if they keep pushing it and supporting it!

It's really interesting. Lets me collect, paint and play some of the Sigmar aesthetic without needing to buy a whole army of figures. How they choose to support it going forward will absolutely determine how it fares going forward.

I got the core set and I look forward to getting the expansions that come out too. A. for maximum competitive edge and B. for neat models to paint

After seeing this, https://www.games-workshop.com/en-CA/This-weeks-Shadespire-pre-orders-2017-ENG-NOV I will not be getting it now. My first glance/thought was $138 for two packs of cards? Then I realized they are two sets of minis. Still $140+ (taxes) seems so little for what we are getting.

Also since it's a bundle my brain is telling me that there should be a discount and not this crap "one click deals".

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

Eh, it's also a bundle with 4 extra dice sets (of which you'd only need one) and 2 card sleeves (which you may not want to use).

The expansions alon are 70 CAD.

The sepulchral guard faction really intrigued me. But I was not impressed after I watched a battle report on youtube. The game has only three turns which is just too short for my taste.

Well I bought it. My daughter saw it and wanted it so I got it for her. Seeing it in the store for only $70 seemed ok, so I wasn't turned off as I was when on the web store.

Here is hoping I can teach her and she can understand it for quick small battles.
