At present the only Christmas army bundle that didn't sell out is the Slaves to Darkness, which makes sense as they were the only one released at the time without a Battletome in any form.
In fact if I recall right the Seraphon set sold out the fastest of the AoS ones.

Lizardmen/Seraphon moved into AoS in great condition and retained their whole army, one of the few that got too! Skaven were shattered but have reformed as have a few others; but yeah :Lizardmen players were lucky their army remained whole and didn't get fragmented into 4 or so subarmies.

Just me being pedantic, I suppose, but I see it often said that the Seraphon are like Aztec Lizard People, when I believe the more apt analogy would be Mayan Lizard People.

Most people don't know enough about pre-European Mezoamerican culture to know the difference. "Aztec" is just shorthand for "Ancient Mexican/South American culture". Hell, I studied the pre-European Americas, and I still get the two confused sometimes.

Aye its like when people say "The Romans" without really realising that Rome lasted over 500years and went through massive changes through its long lifespan. So there's no real single "Roman" concept, but in casual terms they all sort of get mashed together, esp around key events and characters.

Agreed, they're not getting squatted. And they are based on the Aztecs more than the Maya.

The fact that there are 3rd party companies starting to make some significant splashes with new lizardmen models makes me hopeful that GW will at some point arise from their reptilian slumber and rectify things.

Even the 3rd party companies though still play it relatively safe and don't dial up the crazy to 11. I'd hope GW go full exotic Meso-Reptilian blend of Stargate and Dark Age's Kulkulkani faction.

It already happened with Sisters of Battle. We saw smaller upstarts start making headway into designing Sisters proxies... now we've got the real deal coming soon.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!
