Probably a hamster then, I can't distinct those buggers myself, so probably the poster also didn't identify it correctly.

If it was a hamster, it was the biggest hamster I've ever seen. My door has a good 1 or 1 1/2 inch clearance and he did have to squeeze a bit to get under it. I've seen kittens able to squeeze under doors and some of them are bigger than this thing was.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/1/23, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~15000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Adeptus Custodes: ~1900 | Imperial Knights: ~2000 | Sisters of Battle: ~3500 | Leagues of Votann: ~1200 | Tyranids: ~2600 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000

To be fair cats are on a whole different level. Basically jelly inside a coat of fur.

I think I saw a UFO once. Me and a friend were driving home from from atlantic city on the expressway, it was like 2 AM, We saw a bright light shoot way up into the sky super fast. We pulled over on the side of the road and were looking out the windows, and a cop pulled up and asked if we were OK and we said we just saw a light shoot up out of the trees, and he said yeah me too. That was about it. Probably a good chance it was some kids playing with fireworks or something, but still.

Also swear to this day that the house I lived in my first 2 years of high school was haunted or had some portal to the netherworld in the attic. I couldn't sleep in my bedroom which was right next to the attic door, I was always so freaked out. I usually slept on the living room sofa. I always would have crazy nightmares when I slept in my room. We only lived in the house a couple years, then mom moved, probably cuz of me. It was nice though that the house was walking distance to school, had to take the bus after we moved :(

Keep in mind there are dozens of official UFO sightings every year, not too dissimilar to this.
Because 'UFO' means exactly what it says on the tin. The flying object was not identified.
Doesn't matter if its a duck, a rocket, a meteorite, a spy plane or whatever, if there isn't obvious identification through eyes or cameras, its a UFO.

Efficiency is the highest virtue.

By the literal definition of the term, you did indeed see an Unidentified Flying Object. It was some sort of object flying in the air, and you could not identify it.

Doesn't mean it was aliens, of course...

There was a powerful storm a few weeks ago and being a fairly fanatical stormwatcher, I went outside to smoke at 2am in the morning.

While feeding my bad habit, I had the thrill of seeing a ball lightning. It didn't last long but it was unmistakable and exhilirating to see something I'd only ever read about.

Me and a good pal of mine had this ongoing thing for about a year straight where we'd talk about a joke from a tv show (usually the simpsons or something) and then without fail a week later one of us would see the show on tv. And as it went on it kept getting more obscure and it was random references to references we would be on about that had nothing to do with the original show anymore. Or it would be things like "Hey remember that thing or that old tv show from the 80s/90s" and then it would be on just like that. And it would usually be a case of flick the TV on and that thing would be the first thing one of us would see.

At first we were joking about it but after around the 6 month mark of that happening it did get a little weird. Then after a while it just fizzled out.

A surprising thing happened to me here now, and it was actually a good surprise.

I looked up photos of devastated ruined buildings and saw in a few on them toilets were visible. I just had a light go on over me and thought a couple 28mm toilets in 40k ruined building would be funny, kind of like 'easter eggs' in miniatures, like the Audrey in the sly marbo figure.

So i asked in the modeling forum about 28mm toilets figuring no one would take it seriously and i'd either get accused of trolling or not get replies at all.

To my amazement I got a good number of positive replies, and was even more amazed to see just how many 28mm toilets were available. It was honestly weird to see that such things were made and from several sources. I mean I thought maybe one place might make a few of them, but several? No, not what i expected at all...

Made me think of Cleveland in Family Guy.

I may not consider the show to be funny, but certain scenes are memorable nonetheless.
