Just thinking about some new Tyranid models for the bug hunt. I'm assuming Hormagants will be useful, but just wondering what other kind of bugs there are in the scenario.

Found a review for the Bug Hunt (latest version in the Compendium probably has some small differences) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bPr-W3-8wC4

You aren't just facing bugs, but also other threats from the five Parsecs from home universe, e.g. converted (Borg equivalent), defect robots, zombies and so on. But, reading the rules, except for the spitting specialization, enemies won't shoot, only brawl. I got some old genstealers and the WGA harvesters for the bugs, and some mantic zombies as well as poxwalkers for the zombies. Other minis will be found if the scenario requires it.

Due to it being on special I ordered a box of new Genestealers for Bug Hunt and my 5PH campaign as well for a Grimdark Future: Firefight faction for the kids at my gaming club to choose to play. It'd be interesting to have my 5PH crew do a Bug Hunt scenario as an Encounter. I haven't read the book yet, so is that possible? My Crew might be too OP for it, though lol

"The best way to lie is to tell the truth." Attelus Kaltos.
My story! Secret War
After his organisation is hired to hunt down an influential gang leader on the Hive world, Omnartus. Attelus Kaltos is embroiled deeper into the complex world of the Assassin. This is the job which will change him, for better or for worse. Forevermore. Chapter 1.

The Angaran Chronicles: Hamar Noir. After coming back from a dangerous mission which left his friend and partner, the werewolf: Emilia in a coma. Anargrin is sent on another mission: to hunt down a rogue vampire. A rogue vampire with no consistent modus operandi and who is exceedingly good at hiding its tracks. So much so even the veteran Anargrin is forced into desperate speculation. But worst of all: drive him into desperate measures. Measures which drives Anargrin to wonder; does the ends, justify the means?

It's not directly possible as far as I understood the rules. You can declare a number of characters to be going on a bug hunt, but bug hunt only uses three main characters and you drop all gear (you get it back once the character(s) return to the regular five Parsecs campaign). But nothing stops you from using the scenario generator and associated mission rules in a regular five Parsecs game, they work together quite well in my opinion.
If you think your team is too strong, you can either up the number of enemies or only engage with three of your crew characters.

In bug hunt, you can also request additional help in the form of fire teams, science personal or other aid, which may or may not be represented by other models. Might be interesting if some of these extra models can be reappearing characters in five Parsecs campaigns as well
