Biggest problem I have with King Gleeoks are the second phase, as all too often I’ll pile board an icicle to ride it into the sky, only for a lightning blast to knack me on the ride up.

Yeah, I was taking the updrafts from lightning bolts but kept getting knocked out of the sky by icicles :(

Counter I’ve found is as soon as you can in the fight, make or summon a Super Spring (three springs welded together with a stake to hold it still in the ground).

This gets you some decent air, letting you bullet Time the eyes. And…if you’re swift on your feet? In its final phase, because it’s not linked to a cut-scene, you can leg it to the spring and get airborne before it gets much height, getting it back on the ground for a righteous smiting.

One Silver Lynel to go (farming their drops)….and 4 Gleeok Guts to go. Which sounds easy. Except……you don’t always get Guts from dropping Gleeoks.

Which is rude of them.

But once I’ve got those squidgy bits in hand? I’ll have maxxed out my Heroes Aspect, the reward armour for completing all the Shrines.

Aaaaaaand back to loathing Gleeoks.

Just another three guys to go, and I’ll be able to leave them be forever.

Done. Never have to fight a Gleeok or King Gleeok again. My Heroes Aspect is now fully levelled up, so I can run around as a tanky, non-lightning attracting furry dude.

Time to go costume hunting again I think. Must be some I’ve missed.

I think im done with my playing. All shrines done. Aspect maxed. All side quests and main quests and side story whatevers. I think i have every piece of armor. I don't have every bubble gem (at around 90 after i stopped getting rewards) but hunting down caves is getting tedious as hell.

These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.

I took on Ganondorf again yesterday in my Fully Souped Up State, having devoured a five mighty banana dish.

He….didn’t stand a chance! 5 shot Savage Lynel Bow shooting Gibdo Bones wrecked his first phase, made a mess of his second phase, third phase he put up more of a fight (I’m still useless at perfect dodges and parries). The Dragon remains a fun final phase, but one I’d be surprised if anyone lost to.

Make your life easier chinning King Gleeoks with a change of costume.

Get the Rubber Armour set, upgrade it twice, become Shock Proof.

Wear it during its final attack phase, and never get blown off your feet, or on my attempt, off the icicles when riding them into the sky.

I was using a spring stack to get to them. 3 springs fused to a stake to keep it stable. It launches you above them for easy bow shots.
