I like Tactical Terminators put there really is not a place for them in CAD. I am thinking about taking the Strikeforce Ultra Hammerfall Formation as it simply improves what you want to do with termies anyway. I run an Ultramarine CAD, so how Dakka run the Hammerfall?

Formation Breif: 1 TDA Capt., 5 TDA, 5 Ass. TDA, 1 LR CR/RR
Assault Termies get HoW when charging out fo the LR.
TDA's get to run and shoot on DS.

My thought is this for 870, leaving 950-1030 for the CAD:

TDA w/ Burning Blade

5 TDA w/ Assault Cannon, 2 chainfists

5 Ass TDA w/2 LC/LC, 3 TH/SS

LR RR with MM

In low point games run Tigrus and make the TDA Captain Warlord for the Personal trait as they are all pretty useful in assault (5 good, 1 okay). In larger games, run Calgar, shoot for Master Of Ambush and either outflank or inflitrate the LR since it is the Transport for the Assault Marines.

Competitively? Meh. Lots of points tied up for units that don't get that big of a buff from the formation.

For a fun/friendly game? For sure. I love termies and anything that improves them is fine by me. I'd run the formation with Lysander as part of a Sentinels detachment.
