I used to collect 40k back in high school. Ultramarines, Eldar, Dark Eldar, and Orks. But those army's have been lost in time so I have decided to start with Imperial Guard.
I have a question about replacement assembly instructions. I just purchased a lot of IG Cadian shock,command and heavy weapons squads. I need the instructions for those 3. If anyone could be kind enough to let me know if they are available somewhere I would be grateful.

welcome back! There should be assembly guides online, at least with anything else, the bits should fit logically with some dry fitting. the vehicles you may needs some additional help with the vehicles.

Welcome to the Guard  As others have said, the instructions should be available online. Other than that, contact GW and see if they'll send you either a PDF or physical copy.
That said, the models are fairly obvious in how they go together, and so long as everything looks cool, there's no requirement to build them a certain way. Just mix and match until you have nice-looking, correctly armed models!
