So let me start this post off by saying, if this isn't the right forum to post this under, my apologies.

While playing a game with my husband last night we came to a situation where he was on the top floor of a building and wanted to jump the 3 or 4 inches down to the ground. Is this considered falling? Is there even a rule for falling? He thought he remembered something from 6th edition where you have to take a dangerous terrain test, when jumping/falling.

I'm still new to 40k in general, and spent quite a bit of time looking through the 7th edition rules last night and couldn't quite seem to find anything.

The rules for jumping down were removed in 7th edition.

The battlements (if you mean that by the top floor), however, is difficult terrain. We don't know what the lower floors are on the outside though.

If you meant jumping down from a non-building ruin or some such, then you can just 'walk' through the difficult terrain.

Bounding Dark Angels Assault Marine

down range

You you are just looking for a interesting fix, by buddy and I use it as dangerous terrian. I had the same thing happen to me. I wanted to get my marines down to assault. I rolled a dangerous terrian test on each model and played from there.I actually lost one if I remember. It was a good way to resolve it.

Yeah I was actually going to try this the other day because Ahriman murdered his way to the top of a 14" Ruins piece of terrain and then a damn Crisis Suit moved to hold an objective about 20" over.. Just out of range of Psychic Shriek. So I desperately looked through the rulebook, because to me nothing is cooler than "floating" down to the ground.. Alas, it was not meant to be but I shrugged it off. Is it in Stronghold Assault?
